I think the fact I have no back up and that I could be left with an unbootable PC I would be better of sticking with a slow PC rather than nothing. I do not have the money to replace at this time and could not be without a PC as I use it for invoices for partners work.

Also there were no 04 things in there, I think that was all done a few weeks ago when I went through cleaning some bit off then. I really juts wanted all my old ISP bits taken off as they are no longer used.
Thanks for any help and advice given

    make a backup then.

It's highly unlikely you will be left with an unbootable pc.

do the simpler things, The fastest result would be from running startuplite, and uninstalling mse/rapport and replacing with avast free and free version of malwarebytes, and installing cleanmem

The O4 things are showing in your hijackthis log, so if it's current, they are there, are you using msconfig, startup tab?

Just done startuplite, have free malware.

Would I be better not using Microsft essentials then and Avast instead.

    How would I remove MSE/Rapport?

And there was nothing like that in my msconfig/ startup.

Yes had the free trial but that has ran out now.

It won't let me copy it to show you whats in start up, is there a way of coping it?
Thanks for any help and advice given

no you'll have to type them, 1st part will do

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware] "C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe" /starttray

is still showing in startup, you could uninstall and reinstall without the trial to remove it
