Help cleaning up please.

Hello,

I had some great help here a couple of weeks ago to get my PC working better. I have changed ISP and would like to get rid of any unneeded or unnecessary files please. I am so pleased with how my PC has been since the help last time I would like to keep it tidy.

As a start, work throught the sticky at the top of this forum for speeding up slow machines.
It might be helpful to post a HiJackThis log along with the current amount of memory installed.

I'd start by getting rid of those surplus toolbars, and uninstall Rapport.

What toolbars please and I think Rapport is what my bank said to install, should I get rid of that?

For a start you could go to "run" type in msconfig and go to the startup tab - remove things you do not need starting up when you boot your computer, download ccleaner and run that then run the registry cleaner in there too - download Defraggler and defrag your drive, these will all have positive effects on your machine no matter what your specs are but its always better to have at least 4GB Ram.

Uninstall any software you no longer need like those useless toolbars and any unused drivers - SecuROM User Access Service (V7) can slow certain things down but that takes a little more work to remove.

PS - Keep a hold of rapport for now, get yourself Eset Smart Security.

I already have ccleaner and have run that as well as defraggler I did that yesterday. What thing to I say I do not what to start with boot up. Aslo what tolbars and drivers please

Google Toolbar and MSN Toolbar.
Lots of banks offer Rapport, but many consider to to be spyware in it's own right, see the many debates on this forum and others. No bank makes it compulsory to use.

Also I have rerun ccleaner registry cleaner and have loads come up there can I paste that here?

You don't need to post a CCleaner Registry log, just clean it!
You can uninstall genuine programs via Control Panel.
