  • Really enjoyed last night i went to my friends house and had my supper really enjoyed having a midweek hangout with him today has been a bit of a different day for me on one hand i am pleased to have recieved a letter from the counselling service so that will be happening soon but the only problem i have today is no energy i feel so tired, but never mind life goes on, things are progressing well with christians against poverty i have been sent envelopes so i can put my documentation and letters that i have been recieving so thats been a good start so that will be sorted out over the weekend. Feeling positive is the key i am looking forward i cant wait to share with the cousellor my feelings and thoughts and i am just trying to block negativity with positivity. Over this next week i would like to try the local mind group i want to meet new friends and be able to talk with others. My mums broadband account will be activated next thursday so i will have proper internet access instead off using the library i am so pleased how things have become for me with my debt free adventure and long may it continue, now after i have finished i am looking forward to a long weekend with my daughter without any interuptions of going to work i cant wait to pick her up from school. I hope you all on Money Saving Expert have a good weekend.

  • well done adrian on all u have achieved so far - you seem to be so positive about everything.

i know what u mean about money not buying love for your daughter. i don't have kids but my sister in law is in a right mess debt wise (as i am!) but she just will not stop spending money on her kids. she is absolutely obsessed about xmas. she stresses about it from january until december! she is convinced she has to spend an absolute fortune on them or it will ruin their lives or something! then all her and her husband do is argure about money for the rest of the year! in my opinion, the kids would rather have a happier home than a load of 'stuff' they will be bored with by february.

i myself have learned that material things mean !!!! all in the great scheme of things! (just wish i'd realised this about 7 years ago!)

onwards and upwards for you - good luck on your debt free journey.

    xx

  • Adrian, I'm so pleased things are looking up - I was just thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you were doing. You're doing brilliantly and obviously feeling so much more yourself.

  • Yesterday was a very good day for me i managed to get another two hours overtime, i am going to treat my daughter when she comes over, i love going to the park with her its free and plenty of fresh air lots of excercise for both me and her. Once it gets colder i have found a childrens activity centre that charges a £1 for usage for two hours so i think it will be something we will be definately going to use. Yesterday i spent £15 pound on shopping but plan to keep my spends to a bare minimum for the next few days, i am so fortunate in where i live there is things out there not just for me to do but my daughter. Today we are going to a locomotive steam gala and its free, so i am looking forward to that, I have also helped my sister out shes pregnant she asked me to take her to work (hairdressers) i got £5 pound and a free hair cut i got a lovely saving there. any way i have two days off now to relax spend time with my daughter and most of all have fun. Have a good weeked everyone talk soon

  • Well i have had a lovely day out with my daughter as i said before we were planning to go to the local train museum to a Steam fair and to be honest we had fun my daughter enjoyed having a look on the deck of a steam train , a ride on a miniture steam train at just 50p and to finish off we went and played on the swings, an added bonus from today is am getting my daughter extra, shes stopping till tomorrow now to which we are both pleased so overall a good day, i have banked £20 that i made from recycling my clothes into my savings account. well just think adrian £4980 to go and i am going to be debt free. Once my daughter is in bed i am going to do some surveys and start putting things on ebay, also from today i am doing a sealed pot to save 20 p and under this will last for the next year as i am trying to clear five thousand pound
