I just politely point out that last time there was an overcharge on my shopping the nice CS lady told me I was entitled to DTD

:T:T anyone else a little paranoid that their store has pictures of you, watching you come in the door???

anyone got any thoughts on collecting the CC points from the DTD receipt???

Happy 8178 -Next time insist on a reference number for your call and ask who you spoke to, better still ask them to ring the store directly themselves and speak to the duty manager so you don't get so much hassle when you go back

Hi sandybov! Bad luck , did you pick up the right ones ?

I got the girls name at head office and she said that she had spoken to the manager who now knew all about it and would give me the dtd refund when I returned, however he thought he could squirm out of it, but I wouldnt let him! :D:D:D better not go to that store for any DTD's

  • where do i stand?

I went to the stockport extra store earlier today. i noticed the bakugans on the shelf in a tub but there was no SEL. I buy these all the time and i know that they are around 3-5 pound so the fact that there was no SEL didnt bother me. I picked up various other toys and bits and bobs, paid at the self serve and to my horror it came to £163. I checked my receipt and noticed i had been charged £24.99 each for the backugans. I went to CS and she said i had clearly been over charged and called the manager. 2 managers arrived and they said that they cant dtd such a large amount and had the ring head office which is shut. I spent the best part of an hour arguing with them about dtd and they said the best they could do is to allow me to return them and give me a 25pound gift card for my trouble.
  • slightly off topic but....

None in my store, though I did see a gentleman also looking at the toys (which looked like they had been rifled through several times), so a fellow DTD hunter there...

But I did get overcharged on some Krispy Kreme . They refunded me the difference, but refused to give DTD as it wasn't supplied by them (they compared it to the travel money kiosk) and blamed Krispy Kreme for an out of date display.

This sounds like nonsense, but wondered if anyone knew.

Sammy I would take the gift card plus refund
Firstly there was no SEL so how could you know it's an overcharge when you are not certain what the correct price is
Second you went to SS , they always try and squirm out of dtd when you use one of those not worth the hassle

probably stocked and maintained by a contractor
I assume its one of those self contained displays?
worth emailing Tesco CS for confirmation though

I avoid using my CC if I am on a dtd mission!
You could always use a temp card if you really want to but it does make if easier for them to track you especially if you are well known in your local store for DTD

COMPLETELY AGREE. Pick your battles. There was NO SEL so you are lucky to be offered the giftcard. Take a refund and the giftcard and leave with a smile :D:D:D
