I went to 1 Tesco and labelled at 24.97 went to another and whole arm labelled at 4.97! Bought 2 and then had to argue for my life at customer services for dtd to no avail! Girl who was serving me said I have to get a manager as its such a high amount. Manager came and said Wrong SEL for different product but I fought and spouted all the usual stuff about company policy but they, 3 managers, werent having it and said would refund and resell at 4.97 each?! I said no way and would contact HO tomorrow and asked for name bloke said give her my name to other manager and was real ars*y and I got a full refund! Red faced, made to look a muppet infront of other customers, a 3 year old tantruming squeaming in my hand and lying on the floor all has led to Legendmum being totally peed off and not at all happy! Anyone got Phillip Clarkes email address cos I aint letting this go! Or is it best to ring?

    Just found email address above!

Tried my Tesco earlier. No luck. Well done to those who got it :T
Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies
  • I personally would never embarrass myself in a store. I would calmly walk away and call Head office and get the DTD I am entitled to.. Due to tescos own policy.. Y'Know the one they have on huge boards behind their heads.. :):):) Niceness gets you a good end result ;) Oh and I LOVE the cash I save (Or sometimes get given to take things away) :)

  • Oh Completely.. People should use common sense. These gave a HUGE dtd and a HUGE overprice on your foodshop bill. So Surely buy two max... (In each store LOL!!!) No, I am kidding.. I only got two. Anymore would seem like taking the Pee and none of us want DTD pulled.. It's a wonderful thing :)

Sorry but i have to agree. When people try to get Dtd and it does not work the best thing to do is take the refund of Jtd and move on to the next glitch. You say you were overcharged by £300 that is a lot to say to the manager you didnt notice when you paid the bill.

no overcharged on 6 items £140 and someone jealous i think????

Part of me does agree, but then I got £68 today (and some free toys) for doing very little.

The problem that people have is that Tesco should be consistant with their policy and they are not.

But then, if bought in volume, this is a massive DTD so people cannot expect that T managers will not be jumping up and down to do the DTD.

what about all the people that bought the item and didnt check??

i bet for every 1 person that knows about DTD there is 10 that dont..
  • I disagree about taking JTD.. Tescos were quick enough to screw up, label things wrong, not sort their system properly.. RESULTING in Tescos taking ALOT from our cards etc accidently. I'm not talking about Deliberate DTD's but genuine ones where they DO overcharge us alot. Leaving our bank accounts down for anything up to 5-6 days whilst waiting for a refund. BUT people.. Just go home or outside and call head office.. you'll get your dtd one way or another. You are entitled.. Tescos own boards say so LOL!

they wouldnt pull it.. they can be fined alot of money for every single one wrong so all it took would be people reporting every mistake and they would be worse off... not to mention the bad rep..

easier for them to let the few that know about it abuse it..

I actually fully believe it's closer to 100 people Unaware of it for every ONE that does know.. And how many of those are not even NOTICING tescos overcharging them as they are too busy packing to watch the prices pop up at the till.. then just trust in tescos to be a big enough company to get things right :D:T:T
