what about all the people that bought the item and didnt check??

i bet for every 1 person that knows about DTD there is 10 that dont..

I agree, and I am not saying that people are wrong to be upset.

What I am saying is that this is a little different DTD to say the Lemon Meringue Pies from a few weeks ago.

I got a refund of £168, it needed a managers authorisation. It is fairly obvious that this DTD payment will come out of a budget somewhere and will affect a bonus payment for managers.

So what I am saying is that you should not be naive and not expect ot have a battle, and to go and be prepared for it, but handle yourself in such a way that your always being nice and polite.

The woman earlier who had the manager tell her that she had just come in for the DTD and accusing her of this, if that had been me I would have his name, his managers name and rung HO there and then in front of him.

That is no way to speak to a customer, and making accusations, especially in front of other customers is not on.

I would want DTD and compensation for embarrassment on that one.

The thing is though, don't get angry and out of control, say calm and stay in control.

and yes, maybe people have been overcharged on this item, I have no problems with profiting from this from Mr T. They make billions in profit a year, so a few quid on a DTD will not hurt them.

And no I don't think I take the mickey. at a T's last night and the lad on the till gave me £7 back instead of £6. I told him and gave him the £1 back, as he may have got in trouble for it, and in my mind thats not the right thing to do.

But if Tesco want to have their system glitching and their policies mean I make money, well thats fair game.

Managed to get 4 of these myself:beer:.
Got DTD after a while at CS desk but worth the wait.

I've noticed people have mentioned at least three different prices for these things, £3.97, £4.97 and £5.97. How can T justify these price differences from store to store?

Screw 'em for all you can I say!!!!
  • I happen to also think that ANY good Customer services worker that gives ONE DTD on any item for an overcharge should be removing the SEL AND ITEMS from the shelf so realistically Once one person gets a DTD on these Bakugans in that store (whether it be accidental or deliberate) they should be removed from the shelf. It takes tescos 2 mins to do this. They just do NOT do their jobs properly at all, then have the nerve to be so damn rude at CS desk. More Fool them if they keep giving DTD's over and over again on the same item and STILL do not remove it from sale :)

agreed, and you would expect Tesco to have a DTD system on their computer network to notify all stores when a DTD is flagged up

    slightly off topic but....

None in my store, though I did see a gentleman also looking at the toys (which looked like they had been rifled through several times), so a fellow DTD hunter there...

Not in st*ven*ge was it? OH reported seeing several DTD hunters with mobile phones poised rummaging, but sadly no SEL
  • Yup, But lets not give Tescos good ideas Hey.. Pmsl!! :) If they are trained and PAID to do that job then they should be doing it properly. If they give a DTD on an item because the price or label is wrong etc.. go remove it and the items quickly.. They DO like to make work for themselves..

Why does there have to be some jealous person on every thread at the moment?!

Im not jealous but if my wife for example had gone to CS today and they said no etc etc as previous posters have said then I wouldnt have expected her to be as obsessive to the point of being abusive and shouting/making a fool of herself as previous posters have said.

I have not said that I disagree with DTD and if the SEL today in my Tesco had read £6.97 and we got charged £24.97 you bet i would have been the first to go to CS and complain, i have done in the past and been reasonable and got my DTD or whatever it used to be.

I just think that some people are obsessive about these things a bit like those storm chasers in the USA! except they are Tesco DTD chasers like they think Tesco owes them something for being successful
  • Very pleased as I managed to get 8 of these today! 2 from one store and 6 from another. My son is really excited with all his new toys and I am over£100 up:j
