Tesco misprice Bakugan toy

Just been to my local, bought four of the said items, scanned etc paid for, went to cs and explained, I always buy them and they are never that price.
Cs went to shelf, the label that had £3.97 did not have the barcode number at bottom of barcode, looked to be fault printer alignment.
She took it to scanner, scanned the sel and said that is not for this item, give me a refund, only.
The description on the shelf label was for Bakugan , the item name on reciept was Brawler set.
How do you proceed in this case, or do you just not?0 -
Who was in N'breda at 1.30 pm today?
Firstly, well done on getting the last bakugan toy. :T
Secondly, did you get DTD?
I saw the CS guy searching the shelves for the SEL. He eventually found it and discussed with another member of staff how you had been charged £24 for it. He said to refer to ATC (whatever that is??).
BTW, jellies didn't work.0 -

Thanks to the original post of the glitch and others updates. It didn't work for me but I hope I can learn from it. There were 4 of these backugon toys in my local store this morning, with the exact bar code (the sticker over the original) and scanned at £24.97. However, there was no price ticket on the shelf stating £3.97.
I paid and was looking forward to £88 dtd back but they said the bar code underneath the sticker was now showing no record so they could not tell me what price it was. They tried to be helpful, they called someone and he took me to the shelf but as I say I couldn't point out a £3.97 label anywhere. He said they could refund me £24.97 for each one but couldn't sell it back to me as they couldn't get a price for it as the bar code is not recognised. He did try hard to get a barcode but no luck so i had to have a refund. I'm pleased for deputydoguk and the other person who got one this morning but am intersted in how the SA got a price and barcode to sell it at £3.97. I assume the ticket must've been on the shelf whereas it wasn't in mine. The SA has now taken them all off the shelf in my store. They all agreed that it can't possibly be £24.97 for something as small as that!
I consoled myself with a krispy kreme doughnut (not money saving I know!) and used the fairy and comfort vouchers that I was put onto by another post on here. Bargain.
I did get to keep all the tesco points on my refunded purchases and got 5p a litre off petrol and was due to fill up so that was £2.25 off my petrol! - paid for the doughnut!
I have decided I will keep going with the bargain hunting but in future will go there quicker as I suppose I can't really expect to get the deal 3 days after it was posted as Tesco have obviously noticed by now that there is a glitch. This is my first foray to bargain hunting at Tesco and I hope to add posts as I find some but I could do with knowing what is SEL?0 -

what is SEL?
Shelf edge label
I got some doughnuts as well.0 -
this miss price is quite difficult to prove as the 2 stores that i went to the sel didnt match the barcode on the product so its too easy for cs to say that its the wrong product0

I went to the stockport extra store earlier today. i noticed the bakugans on the shelf in a tub but there was no SEL. I buy these all the time and i know that they are around 3-5 pound so the fact that there was no SEL didnt bother me. I picked up various other toys and bits and bobs, paid at the self serve and to my horror it came to £163. I checked my receipt and noticed i had been charged £24.99 each for the backugans. I went to CS and she said i had clearly been over charged and called the manager. 2 managers arrived and they said that they cant dtd such a large amount and had the ring head office which is shut. I spent the best part of an hour arguing with them about dtd and they said the best they could do is to allow me to return them and give me a 25pound gift card for my trouble.
Well i rang customer sevices and they were more tha helpful and i returned to the stockport store and got dtd refunded onto my card :T
on my way back i popped into tesco homeplus in denton and they were on the shelf at 3.97 so i got 4 and 60punds worth of other toys and went thru the normal checkout, 163 pound. I went to cs and the lady called the manager down, she was a right bitcch. First of all she said that dtd didnt apply coz i didnt leave the store (its for people who notice a misprice when they get home), then she said that i cant have it coz she is now recalling the product so i cant have dtd on an item they dont sell even tho i had already bought it. I rang cs of my mobile, she used my phone to talk to them and then told them that im always in that store getting dtd!! and honestly ive never done it there and that realy is the truth. Anyway they told her she had to give dtd, so she did. But then she walked away with my 4 bakugan toys and said she's keeping them!!! (thats the dtd rule), i rand cs agin and she bagged them up for me with a horrible look on her face.

i only got one as there was no SEL & cs lady soon realised the barcode was for the set of 3 bakugans. she went & tried to find out how much they would be for me but the manager couldn't find the price they are supposed to be either
so after about a 20 odd minute wait she refunded me £24.97 & let me keep the bakugan which i suppose is ok seeing as there was no SEL
 Happy Bargain Hunting!! :beer:0 -
