None in Newtownards store, aparently they had been phoned by another staff member who'd got the DTD to tell them so none on the shelf nor SEL.
Did get free batteries though, they had a SEL dated 3/8 for BOGOF so scanned through 3 different sales of 2 in each with other stuff and then went to get my DTD, was told they didn't have a policy for this as old SEL.
Mum walked off with her JD while I stopped to pretend to read terms board then went to another CS girl and asked why I didn't get DTD she said I should have but would now need to call her manager to authorise it, got it in the end but other girl told them she was told by another that she was just to refund and sell at offer price (I heard her being told this)
Mum came back to get the rest of her DTD and happy to get free batteries.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
SPC 2014 £1100:D

just got last one in Blackp00l store. Over the moon £3.97 on shelf, charged £24.97, got a £42.00 refund no problems. None on the shelf now and CSremoved shelf label.
Thanks OP0 -
Thanks KizKiz(OP) for posting this. Just got 3 from my local - £42 DTD per each
Still on the lookout to post my first grabbit!
Keep it up guys !!0 -
The reason they are marked up at £24.97 is that the 'real' SEL is for a Bakugan Brawler Set thing (lol, sorry, not sure what its called) .. these are the figures, but someone has put the barcodes over the toys at the back and they are scanning at the 'full set' price. The barcode for the full set and figures is on the SEL as the same barcode and that is where the confusion is.
When I was at CS, they took off the barcode sticker on the figure and scanned that and it was coming up as 'no such item' ... HTH
(BTW, I bought 4 with a microwave, paid almost £170 .. they did ask why I never noticed the price and I said I was flustered as they had school kids in packing and I was chatting to them... got DTD back on all 4, and then pretended to be on the phone and got a refund for the microwave saying I needed one without a grill. (they removed all the SELS and figures)
That was the Wh*t*f**ld Store ... none in M*ddl*t*n, F**lsw*rth, or Ch**th*m H*ll ... I checked them all, and was gonna use my microwave trick on all as well, lol
Anyway, walked out with 4 Bakugan toys and £84 profit(I'll give that store a miss for a while, lol)
Hi meeru. Eee you be local to me!
Whit*field (pr*stwich) is my local tesco, as is Middlet*n & failsw*rth as my extra stores...
Saves me a trip there, so thanks for reporting back and well done on your DTD, i know what the CS @ prest*wich are like! lol

So for those that were successful - what did the SEL say and what barcode was on it?
I found these in a store but got a mouthful from the poxy SA who said that because the barcode matched, they were indeed £25 even though it was plain obvious from the description that they were wrongly price. She even left the label on the shelf so god love and kid going in with his pocket money and being told a £5 toy is £25. I didn't mention DTD or JTD, in fact I said nothing. The SA told me that she wouldn't even honour the price (I didn't even ask) so it was keep them or get a refund. I know how to pick my battles but that was one seriously PMT filled SA.0 -
I agree, and I am not saying that people are wrong to be upset.
I got a refund of £168, it needed a managers authorisation. It is fairly obvious that this DTD payment will come out of a budget somewhere and will affect a bonus payment for managers. - Managers are apaprently on no bonuses with regards to shrinkage/ so I'm told.
So what I am saying is that you should not be naive and not expect ot have a battle, and to go and be prepared for it, but handle yourself in such a way that your always being nice and polite.
The woman earlier who had the manager tell her that she had just come in for the DTD and accusing her of this, if that had been me I would have his name, his managers name and rung HO there and then in front of him.
That is no way to speak to a customer, and making accusations, especially in front of other customers is not on.
I would want DTD and compensation for embarrassment on that one.
The thing is though, don't get angry and out of control, say calm and stay in control.[...]
But if Tesco want to have their system glitching and their policies mean I make money, well thats fair game.
I'd just like to tell you a little story before everyone gets on the "entitled too" band wagon and the "you SHOULD get it" and the "be nice" stands.
I am not nervous at all, and in fact I'm very confident due to my upbringing with regards getting things cheaper, or policy enforcement. Now I won't go into specifics, as you could search my previous posts, but I want to make ALL users of MSE aware that DTD is NOT, NEVER, EVER guaranteed no matter who you ring, talk to or e-mail.
I was accused of knowing said policy in a shop and even after 4 phone calls, several e-mails and being accused of knowing about policy at each and every stage, I was refused DTD. Mine would've only been £32 on one occasion and £83 on another.
DTD and compensation for embarrassment? You're having a laugh. They are a law unto themselves and the ASA or Watchdog are unwilling to do anything about my plight.
So good luck hunting - remember, you might not get DTD, and if you don't, just get a refund and move on; there will always be another glitch.I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.
