What I disagree with is the public advertising of said mistake, which in turn, encourages people to actively go out and buy 4, 5, or 6 of these items, just to make money they havent earned, they are not owed. Basically the public advertising of these mistakes is theft![/QUOTE]

You are , of course, perfectly entitled to your opinion (and I must admit that I do have some reservations about stripping shelves bare and making a big profit out of these glitches/errors). However - you are WAY yyyyy out of line calling people on here who take advantage of the glitches thieves, benefit cheats etc.

Also, the title of this board is 'Grabbit ' which does imply an expectation of overkill on bargains - if you are so upset by the posts then maybe this is just not a good place for you.

Ok, fair point, but answer me this....

Once Tesco learn their lesson, and stop overcharging people, are YOU going to be willing to return the DTD you earned by trying to teach this lesson?

Yes, as long as Tesco repay every single customer for every single overcharge they have done in say the last month.

And with Clubcard recording most of their sales, this is not actually too hard for them to do.
  • Trouted today. Massively. An email has been fired off to Philip Clarke. It wasn't just one of these toys, I was genuinely overcharged by, wait for it, £165 on ONE item! If I get a positive response by email, of course I'll post details of the item here, but until then, I'm keeping quiet.

    Bloody trouts.

Oh BTW, visited 4 local T's today and got another 4 Bakugan DTD form one store, all the others had sorted the issue.

    Thanks again OP.
  • Fair enough, the benefits cheats was a bit out of line, but I am glad you agree with the fact that people shouldnt be stripping shelves to make lots of cash.

Let me correct you here, before you start yelling Troll etc, and thank you kindly for not wasting my time with your childish expletives.

Yes, I agree that if you find out you've been over charged, then fair enough, its a genuine mistake, and their policy is to pay DTD. However, that is not what I disagree with...

why are you on this site then??

the majority of it is around getting one back over on the companies...

martin includes most things on his emails to people..

are you saying you disagree with him also ??

Sorry can I just ask again:

Did the cheap SEL have the barcode on it for the expensive item? The only store I found these in had the SEL saying Bakugan Boost and a price of £3.97 but the wrong barcode. The SEL for £24.97 had a description of Brawler set and the barcode for the single item pack.

Should this have warranted a DTD? Not bothered about trying again but the store was adamant that because the barcode was on the SEL the price was correct.

Most of the things on the site I agree with, like the many stories of people getting their own back on a company that has wronged them. However, in this instance, Tesco has only really wronged the OP, who then went on to advertise it to others so they could then get one over on Tesco. I know my point, maybe some of you are so blinded by a few extra quid, you can't see my point of view, in which case I apologise.

Lets just leave it as a confliction of opinion and be on our merry way.

again why not the shop tenders the goods for sale at a fixed price the shopper buys them at that price contract agreed. the shop then over charges the shopper the xhopper has the right to recover there loss. if the shop wishes to give extra back as a token of good will thats the shops choice. tesco have know this fault is there but have failed to fix it. so why beat up the shopper for taking advantage of the shops poor stock pricing checks.
they soon fixed the battery error so why have they failed to do it on this item.
but it would take some guts to go in and buy loads of them.i felt guilty getting -3.50 of our shopping. but i will learn.
  • I am now a very happy owner of 2 of them and £84 in my pocket too. L*a valle*.
