I am quite new to all this DTD stuff and price checking, can you explain where you checked the price?
IF your store has a self scanner. Normally located on a post somewhere around tescos then use that to scan the barcode. IF your store does NOT.. then I usually go to the self serve till and swipe the barcode there ;) Then If the person attending self serve asks you anything you just say you couldn't see a price on the shelf so was just checking yourself quickly :rotfl::rotfl:

Can they refuse DTD saying you knowingly bought at the wrong price?

No, Not really. They can try but they ALWAYS back down. It is THEIR mistake.. If the label says 3.00+ then why on earth should you be charged 25?:mad: If you get a narky customer services assistant, ask for the mnanager.. IF they ARE the manager then ask to take their name and for them to call Head office. If they make a scene then take their name and go home and call HO yourself. Will always get DTD one way or another. :D I guess they could see you on CCTV checking the price at self scan and then buying it and asking DTD.. But so what. It is still their mistake. And lets face it.. I doubt they would bother taking it that far :rotfl:

well people just been refused dtd for that very reason.
manager said dtd is at the managers discretion then tore the tab up in my face when i asked if i could have it to contact head office.
They then throw me out and call the police who arrive i tell them what happened then the manager says his bit then the police say its a civil matter.
a massive letter to head office coming me thinks the fact that all this was done in full view of the whole store and made me feel like a criminal

i brought some of these earlier at other telford store £3.97 for my sons xmass so went there to get more
manager recons that they were taken of the shelf in telford friday when i have a receipt from today

chris at telford homeplus ur a wanna be manager

    Newbie1980 I really don't get your post
What on earth happened for them to call the police?
What did did the manager rip up?
Why would they forcibly throw you out of the store
Methinks you aren't telling us everything and that there is more than meets the eye going on here

i asked for the tab with the price on as he would not give dtd thinking i had gone in only for these which i didnt and receipt will show other toys.
they called the police because when i asked for the tab and reached for it he tore it up then the security thought i put my hands in the managers face which cctv show i didnt and asked me to leave not threw me out which i then left and waited to speak to the police who we then sorted out with me leaving and saying i will contact head office

why do poelpe always have to think bad of people this is meant to be mse not hduk or pts
