Oh my, did they not question that you should have realised before paying as your bill came to £100 rather than £15??

The reason they are marked up at £24.97 is that the 'real' SEL is for a Bakugan Brawler Set thing (lol, sorry, not sure what its called) .. these are the figures, but someone has put the barcodes over the toys at the back and they are scanning at the 'full set' price. The barcode for the full set and figures is on the SEL as the same barcode and that is where the confusion is.

When I was at CS, they took off the barcode sticker on the figure and scanned that and it was coming up as 'no such item' ... HTH

(BTW, I bought 4 with a microwave, paid almost £170 .. they did ask why I never noticed the price and I said I was flustered as they had school kids in packing and I was chatting to them :D ... got DTD back on all 4, and then pretended to be on the phone and got a refund for the microwave saying I needed one without a grill. (they removed all the SELS and figures)

That was the Wh*t*f**ld Store ... none in M*ddl*t*n, F**lsw*rth, or Ch**th*m H*ll ... I checked them all, and was gonna use my microwave trick on all as well, lol

Anyway, walked out with 4 Bakugan toys and £84 profit :D:D:D (I'll give that store a miss for a while, lol)
  • well done everyone!!!! - checked my local store - handforth - but alas none available.
  • They seem to be VERY reluctant to cough up, The guy I dealt with was adamant that DTD no longer existed, then tried lying his way out of it 3 times. Pffttt.. If they are happy enough to take that amount out of my bank acct then they can damn well stick to their policy of Dtd. :)

Went to the Watford store. A man and woman were looking at these toys.... I imagine they saw this thread!

I lost signal on my phone so couldn't check which ones it was.... so gave up!

All the labels had been turned over, from what I could see!

checked my local in d*l0ch and the SEL was £24.97 so didnt bother trying, but i checked at s q**en$fe**y and was showing as £5.97 but i was willing to take the potential hit, managed to get 4, i was having trouble putting the toys in my bag which is why i didn't notice the ridiculous amount showing, eventually managed to get DTD after a good while £168, nearly died!!! thanks sooooo much OP, may all your shopping trips be blessed!!! also who would go back and put the points on their card??? my receipt is just marked next to the bakugan but not initialled or anything, it's 228 points....
This made me chuckle.. I had the young girl on the Till nattering away so she didn't notice the 24.00+ Price and say 'Oh That can't be right' LOL I plopped my 20 month old (Who was in a terrible mood today) at the end of the till and gave him a bag to pack so she was more interested in him :rotfl::rotfl: This DTD'ing takes serious balls.. :rotfl::D

I am quite new to all this DTD stuff and price checking, can you explain where you checked the price?
