Happy 8178 -Next time insist on a reference number for your call and ask who you spoke to, better still ask them to ring the store directly themselves and speak to the duty manager so you don't get so much hassle when you go back

Hi sandybov! Bad luck , did you pick up the right ones ?

Sorry, but I'm a bit confused. Did you buy one especially to get the DTD and then 'chickened out'? :o

As you've not gained anything by getting just the difference? Or am I missing something?

Thats what I thought. You've just paid the regular price for a toy.

It's Tesco policy to offer DTD, so they should have given it to you automatically (although we know they don't always) .. don't chicken out next time, look behind them on the blue board and it tells you about DTD, just quote their policy to them ... if you've still got your receipt, you can go back in and explain you should have been given DTD and they should give it you. If not, a quick call or email to HO might help. Go for it!

  • I tried another 2 shops today after my success yesterday and in one the SEL's had been removed and the other had loads on the shelf, picked up and bought 2 only to find they scanned at £3.97! I took them straight back for a refund.

I just politely point out that last time there was an overcharge on my shopping the nice CS lady told me I was entitled to DTD

I think they are encouraged to try and give just the difference as most shoppers have no idea a out DTD , most if my family and friends certainly don't
