Hi everyone and a warm welcome to all our newbies!
All well and busy as usual in Aril's household. Having been a very daft old bat and sat at an awkward angle for too long whilst cross stitching and have hurt my neck. I really should know better at my age!!! Stocked up on Boots OB ibroprufen yesterday.
OS has seen me washing floors and making beds today and later I shall be sorting out a white wash and putting dry washing away. I also will do a shopping list. I wondered about posting my monthly menu but have come over a bit shy. Thought it might not really be up there with the proper Oldstylers!!
Nothing terribly racy to report but it does look like we might have managed to source a possible 2nd hand pc. The other one is going to cost £250 to repair and I think that may work out a more expensive option. Ahh well!
Have a good Wednesday....it's HM nuggets for tea [see told you that I'm not having an ultra exciting day!!]

Aril, my day sounds similarly exciting! Not done much of anything in particular but still managed to do a lot! In addition to doing several of the bits on my list, I've spoken to my mum several times - she's digging out some old work that I've stored at their house but now need - was giving comedy directions to it over phone. She seemed amazed that I couldn't remember exactly what order I had filed my work in back in 2002! :rotfl:
Was also contacted by one of my bosses (have several jobs... long story) and told that I'm not required tomorrow morning. Am really chuffed as was only supposed to be working 1.5hours but because I've been cancelled at short notice I can claim for 1hr of it! :j
Also had another phone conversation about work and put some more washing in. About to dry it and stick a 3rd load in! Then I wonder what I do with my day when I work at home.... Dbf normally deals with all the washing, but it seems a waste to be here all day and leve it just sitting in the washing bag.
Anyway, really need to be getting on with work...

One final thing: to all of you having trouble with neighbours, I know it's easy to say when you're not involved, but stick to your guns. My parents had trouble with some neighbours but they checked their facts then just stood their ground. It was an issue over fences / access and the neighbours even got a solicitor involved. My mum was absoutely furious and refused to shell out money when she knew she was right, so she just dealt with it herself - sending lots of proper formal letters etc (usually better written than the solicitor's ones). In the end, the neighbour's solicitor advised them to drop the issue as my paretns were clearly correct. It was stressful but ultimately validating :D

Good afternoon All - hope we are well.

Work was ok, busy, got loads done.
Just about to start ironing the uniforms for work/school tomorrow. Changed WM over, new load in again, and TD on.

Savoury mince with cheesy mash for dinner later.

Redspot good for your mum, thats why our other neighbour is sticking to her guns, cos she knows "the witch" doesn't stand a chance in hell to get the land she's after. But its very frustrating for those who are involved. Like I said earlier, my heart does go out to DLB aslo. Im like piggy in the middle as this doesn't affect me, but Im always the one to voice my opinion and stand up for others. Especially in the summer - when Witch & Lurch (her husband) have fires. No consideration for others when the washing is out or windows are open. Many of times myself & DLB have shouted over the fence to eachother - GET YOUR WASHING IN - etc. Just to prove a point.

Its gone very windy here again this faternoon, cold, and few showers.

Those who watch Celeb Big Brother, who do you think will be evicted tonight? I would like Jack or Jackie to go!

Anyway, best be off, Take care all - enjoy the rest of the day
    love as usual xxx

well the sun is going already. That`s it for the next couple of weeks I think. Well this manic washing demon got 5 washes done and it`ll all be dry by tomorrow morning. Dh is at home today and I nabbed him to help with the bedroom bottoming. I`ve got a sebo felix with a turbo head to go on the hose and it was great for doing the mattress and headboard.

Lol every so often I do a batch bake or a clean like that, when he is at home or he might think that we`ve got a magic cleaning fairy in this house. Reality check every so often, not a bad idea

DLB you only got to look at Witch & Lurch and guess who wears the trousers in that house! :rotfl:

Glad no police arrived for you

    Afternoon everyone.

Had my 2nd driving test earlier and failed. Only had 3 faults but I was a serious. I overtook a bus that was at a bus stop and it started to move off. In a panic I slowed down so failed on that. Trying not to feel to down with only 3 faults at least I can do it next time.

Daughter got a start date for her nursery today and starts a week on Monday, but only an hour to begin with. At least in a few weeks she will be there 9 am till 12 pm and I will have the morning to myself again.

Not sure what to do for tea, was having chicken with HM sauce but am really not in the mood now.

Hope you are all well and enjoy the rest of the day.
