Morning everybody :hello:
RacyRed, you're in good company:RacyRed wrote:I am a baaaaad girl! Last night all I had to do when I got home was
eat properly - had beans on toast insteadI did that on Monday
Iron clothes for today - pass My ironing board hasn't been out this year yet
get packed lunch ready for today - pass oh I managed that one
clean kitchen floor - pass i had to clean the hob, AND DID :j
check all well with banking - pass I knew there was something else
NOT have a glass of wine - pass if only it were just the one glass
get to bed at a reasonable hour - pass was planning on bed by midnight but didn't turn in till 1am
...the reason I didn't go to bed till 1am was that I started preparing some veg for a casserole for today, and my finger had a small disagreement with my kitchen knife  the type that isn't terribly serious but bleeds like fury and you can't carry on doing what you were doing until you can take the kitchen-roll tourniquet away from the wound and put a plaster on
Anyway, sausage casserole is now in SC on low and am hoping it won't be too overcooked when I get home from work at 5:45 ish. If it is, it will have to be sausage soup instead :rotfl:
Am aiming for another no spend day today :j
PP & Mr PP - sorry you're both ill! ((((hug))))
dlb - nightmare! Hope the council/police can see what a cow she is being. Fancy her looking down on you cos you're a council tenant  ...
AMIE399 - congratulations on the weight loss, I need to lose about 2 stone I think but am NOT weighing myself to find out, I'm just trying to convert to a generally healthier lifestyle and see what happens. Happy birthday to your nan! She sounds like a right character, I'd love to meet her...
anniestar - just read your post, big ((((hugs)))) to you and DH.

Morning all,
Anniestar - poor you. It's awful for your dh but (as I know) it's also very hard for the relatives of a depressed person. You need to do all you can to keep yourself going ((((((hugs))))))))
Congratulations to the young penguins - is there a word for baby penguins?? All parents are allowed to be proud.
We're living through the wait for the 11+ results at the moment - Sat 3 Feb is the big day.......
Am going to put a sausage chilli in the SC in a minute and then sort through some more clothes that we've been given for the boys. Feeling proud because whilst I was watching tele last night I took the zips out of 3 pairs of torn jeans I had cut up for patchwork - bit fiddly but I've got 3 useable zips now.
Was rereading the TWG last night for inspiration - we're about to pay off the mortgage but dh needs a new car desperately (well not new but you know what I mean) and then I have a cunning plan to add a sun room and utility room on to the house - but it will take quite a lot of saving up:D
I had got a bit lazy on the OS front but I feel spurred on by the thought of the utility room - I think I shall cancel the veg box for a few weeks and just buy what we need - the monthly shop is definitely working
Have a good day everyone and hugs to all who need them. Good luck with the fence, dlb“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Morning all
Hugs to all the poorly ones and those having a bad day.
DH hasn't gone back to work today - he's tucked up in bed feeling worse (I did try to tell him but he insisted he was going in today....he gave in about 9pm last night and agreed that driving for 3 hours and doing a full days work wasn't the best idea). DD1 has her 2nd day of 11+ today - she found yesterdays tests ok but didn't get chance to finish them, let alone double check them, but she wasn't alone - not one child in her class finished. She's got to sit the entry exams for a local girls school on Saturday so bless her, she's got to go through it all again...Why these schools can't all just take the one lot of exam results is beyond me.
OS wise, I managed an hour of ironing yesterday - then had to sit down for 3 hours to get some more energy. I've managed to push the hoover around the worse bits this morning and I've washed up the breakfast things and now I'm off to soak in the bath.
Had a nasty email from an ebay seller last night when I asked about their postage price which seemed far to high, just wanted to double check it was right and got a really horrible reply. Rather than send a rude one back I just apologised for causing offence and was very surprised to have a fully apologetic email waiting for me this morning. It did restore my faith in human nature somewhat - always seems to be so much fighting and bickering over things that really shouldn't be an issue.

morning everyone and I hope the sun is shining on you today, so that everyone`s spirits get lifted. It`s just great to get some energy from the weather at last. This dormouse is having a little scamper around before the next batch of grey days
I have to dry all washing indoors and believe me, it dries in no time when the sun shines in so I`m having a mamoth wash this morning and anything that needs an inkling of a wash is getting done. All 3 airers will be in use including a massive one that can easily take 3 loads. Oh I just remembered that I kept a plastic one in the spare room en suite so that`ll be 4. The more I can spread the washing the better. Flanelette sheets out first. Great to see the sun at last!! beds stripped and mattress turned. Duvet airing. Will give the room and under and around the beds a really good vac this afternoon
Buttersquash and beef casserole will be prepared soon and am going to pop in mushrooms and extra onion etc . This site is really amazing re healthy foods. Try the food advisor if you have time

It is lovely to read about your daily lives. Hope all the poorly ones are feeling better soon0 -
Hello everyone
Another day and I'm still trying to get my pc to work properly!!
anniestar as hard as it is be positive, try and make small steps with the neighbours, and start the new year with a "I can change the world attitude" and you will even if it takes time if you pretend to believe it to begin with, you will eventually believe it x
I really must to some cleaning today as the place is such a mess and as I have time off at the moment it would be nice to be able to have friends round - but not like this

(((Anniestar))) my OH is in a similar position to you... I have Fibromyalgia and ME and am a qualified teacher... was forced out of my nice part time contract post in the summer because of my illnesses and have been all over the place since (mixture of supply, kids entertainment and shop work, although signed on this week due to there being a drought of work in all of those areas... ugh!). If you (or your DH) need someone to chat to, who is in a similar position, please don't hesitate in contacting me!!
Am sending loads of hugs and congrats to all who need them!
This morning I am shattered again, really hate this weather as it makes me so ill! My right hand does not want to cooperate today!
Have some job applications to fill in whilst I wait for the DWP to call (any time between 8am and 1pm I was told.... they're nearly as bad as furniture delivery men!)(EDIT: they have just called, but i have to wait til OH gets home from work to go out..) and have a few things to package up to send out this afternoon... going to a local village (I prefer to go there rather than walk into town, esp with how I'm feeling at the moment!) to do my banking and mail those out, plus have a squizz in Mr Ts for some milk and a new casserole as OH says they have some on offer.... although I'm also tempted to go to Asda to get the stuff and nose around at whether they have any jobs going.... decisions, decisions!
Last night I started sorting out the kitchen cupboads and now have some kind of 'control' over what is in them.... now it's finding how we can use up the stuff that's going out of date soon!!
Then, this morning I awoke to find the freezer was open and my chicken pieces had defrosted! So now I shall have to find some things to do with those! Ugh.
thriftmonster am sending good wishes your way... I hope Feb 3rd brings good results... I can't believe that it was me 13 years ago, awaiting my 11+ results! Last year it was my cousins turn, bless her! She really enjoys the Grammar school she's at!
dlb I can't believe your neighbour... urghhh!!

Hi everyone:)
Slept very well.
My room looks so empty, just a couple more things to go on Saturday.
I need to clear some little piles and empty a cupboard or two to put essentials in. Trying to make this place all showhouse like. Two rooms are packed right up, which will be emptied on Saturday. Son and couple of strong mates will pack a van for OH to drive to a storage place.
I think I need another cuppa before I face it tho'
Having pasta for tea (spinach for me, tomato for OH), our son is out tonight, so having stuff he doesn't like.
Had a quote for cleaning the place and it was £175 inc VAT. That for 4 hours work from two people. I think we will do it ourselves, so have some detailed cleaning to do:(
I think two more cuppas are needed:D
(((big hugs))) to who needs themAn average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:
:eek::mad: :beer:

Will do some soup today too.
Hugs0
