That took 18 months or so. There's never really been anything else I'd get a great deal out of with the triple rewards other than maybe restaurants, but I'd rather have expensive flights paid for with 'money' I never had.

Let's say it'd cost £1000 for two HK returns - I'd say £520 of vouchers is very good value.

Hi all I currently have 23000 air miles could I book before december for 3 people for next year also can anyone recommend anywhere if so just looking for somewhere warm not really bothered where we go but will be taking a 15 year old

Presumably MSE are going to downgrade the value of Tesco to Airmiles - been collecting to take the family to would have had all the miles by early next year, all we would have had to shell out was the accomodation etc. Book flights a year in adv ance job done

Feel like been well & truly stitched up

loates - you can book up to 50ish weeks in advance. Just make sure you do it before the cutoff!

When do you want to go?
Do you know that Morrocco will be now in zone 3 from the new scheme and Morroco is lovely from May onwards. Hot. Warm if before.
With 230 000 Avios you can go nearly 4 times:))

On European flights the value is going up, for few cities significantly, for non London members still up, for London member it stays about the same..

Anywhere really where hotels are nice but not going to cost a fortune would prefer to use the air miles up in one go as cant afford to go away twice

I asked when, as you want it warm.
You have 23 000 Airmiles and 3 people - so that is 7500 per person (assuming you are glying from London? If not allow for the ridiculous 500 miles surcharge).
Look at where they fly for up to that now. I think the list will be quite large.

According to my experience you will find nice hotel in every city if you do your research. Even in third world countries.
Places you can go to: (as far as, you can go closer and spend some miles on hotel as well)

Can fly from anywhere north would be best would like to go july or august. 2012 . Beach holiday I think but what I mean with about hotel is I would prefer a place where they are good value for money for example a hotel in the maldives would cost 4000 for two weeks which is far to much money for me .probably can only afford to go on holiday once next year and cant afford one this year as I am currently in turkey at the moment

Given that you need at least 13000 miles for 2, if you had to get it only from Tesco you would need another £130.. And that is only from London. Another £50 if from regional airport.. (which is the price I found, from Manchester).
So that is £700 Tesco vouchers for £966 flights..

But anyway, that is spliting hair.. It does not change the fact that the scheme is changing, there is not much we can do apart from making decisions going forward for ourselves and what fits our wishes and dreams.

I doubt there is that many people out there willing to save for that long to go far away places and so I don't think there is a danger of the scheme becoming redundant.
