Good point. An extension to the deadline for bookings to say 15th Jan may help. I think the meadja may pick up on collectors in this predicament.
Not everyone as not all people are able to take several trips within one year. The soliution would be to ring fence the Airmiles already purchased and for them to be able to be booked under the old scheme.
Just as in if a pension scheme changes its terms it is often the case that benefits earned so far are preserved and then less generous terms apply to future contributions and new member0 -
My guess is you won't have to travel by 15 December.
i am being told that british airways no longer flies to any airport in turkey and if they did? there are no available airmiles slots. please try again at the end of november. !!!!!!! oh well the world ends next year anyway, does'nt it? or is that as big a lie as airmiles customer relations??0 -

Re my comment about google, i was asked which large companies have been defeated in court through having terms & condition that failed under the unfair contracts act. As I have no inkling to look that up and have no nned to know, i suggest to google it. That is the only time i have said to google anything.
I would suggest that you get your facts straight before posting
So essentially you posted something, but are now confessing that you have no examples to support your claim, and further more were unaware of any examples when you posted.
I'm really just bringing into questions your rationale for court action - it seems to be built on rather shaky ground. A few people have pushed for a little more information, but you've been rather evasive.
What have you achieved so far, and what are your plans?Legal team on standby0 -
Forgive me if this is seen as spammy, but one thing Air Miles/ BA hasn't done yet is published which destinations will be in which Zone (and thus how many Avios a return flight will be to get there). This seems pretty fundamental in working out the value to me, so I've gone through the press office and got the details.
I've put a full comparison table on my own site seeing as they won't publish it on theirs - it's at bit(dot)ly/qO46bS if it's of interest. As far as I can work out, for most destinations, you're best off spending your Air Miles ASAP. There are a few stand-out exceptions, though (Moscow, Kiev and St Petersburg in particular).0 -
Can anyone tell me, will the changes to Airmiles affect only flights? What about things like travelling by Eurostar, car hire and hotel stays? Will I still be able to pay for these using only miles after the changes come into effect, or will there be some cash payment for these as well?0
