That is the same with Airmiles

No it absolutely 100% isn't. You are transferring into a loyalty scheme for LATER use. If you had booked flights and now they asked for more money then you'd have a point. But thats not happening.

As such I would have thought, that the only valid argument is whether 4 mths advance notice to book holiday for next year ahead is reasonable... For loyalty scheme.

I think you need to read up on the unfair contracts act

You have missed the point, had you ALREADY exchnaged for Cosmos vouchers and then they asked you for a further £300 person AFTER the exchange, would you just accpet it?

No, I am not missing anything. Only Cosmos is "protecting" themselves against this happening, so is Tesco by putting expiry date on their vouchers.

Airmiles don't (well, now 3 yrs if inactive account). It is better scheme for it. But you pay by having T&C changes.

Therefore the argument is whether you were given reasonable notice about the changes.

Ok, you say it is transferring inti a loyalty scheme, Just exactley what is the loyalty scheme, because I would have to be an airmiles customer for them to reward me any loyalty right?

I guess you must be a solicitor then as you seem to have all the answers. I happen to know differant.

I am no longer going to be invilved in trying to explain to you how airmiles are in breach of any laws or acts, i have had more sensible conversations in a school yard

I think Airmiles would have had their T&Cs checked by solicitors to avoid any cases being brought against them, sensible corporate prudence IMHO to avoid bad publicity and costs.

If a judge asked a claimant to detail and describe why the airmiles couldn't be spent, that may not be that easy to demonstrate.

So, what are your legal plans? As soon as anyone raises a case like this they make it public, so your "can't for legal reasons" is a cop out.
They may be interested parties in this thread who are willing to fund it.
Something similar happened with the money lost in the Crown Currency situation.

Post your plans and perhaps you'll get some assistance.

I have been unable to find the zone map for Avios. Please could someone post a link to it?

    Many thanks :)

I dont think one has been produced yet, but if you go to the Airmiles Facebook page and ask them there, they should be able to tell you or if you go to http://www.fighttheairmileschange.co.uk/ website, on the change page, you will see a list of the zones and destinations there

Do you really think that major companies have never had their T&C's challenged in court and lost.

They are actually getting a lot of bad publicity already with a lot more to follow BBC 8 pm Thurs
