I`ve been with TT for five years now and have never had a single issue with them.

I pay my line rental upfront at £114 a year making it just £9-50 a month.

The only other monthly fee I pay is £3.
For this I get broadband UNLIMITED downloads at 14 megs.
    All local calls anytime free.
0845/0870 are free within my call time package (Essentials).
01/02/03 are also free within my call time (7pm to 7am and all weekends)
Free calls to all other TT customers.

So basically for all the above I pay £12-50p TOTAL a month.

I fail to see how this can be beaten, in fact I know it can`t (or I`d be there). :D

That's how it ought to be. You're one of many thousands of satisfied customers. It's likely that it will continue that way for you. However, should you ever experience a problem with your exchange line you may find that TalkTalk become difficult to deal with. The main problem being is their consistent avoidance to attend your premises in order to remedy a faulty line condition. They will avoid doing so like the plague.

Does anyone from MSE appreciate what is going on with VLR ?
There are some (many ?) of us who signed up together with essentials, but TT will NOT honour the contract. Consequently, we have been overcharged. TT response is to start all over again (with a new contract) which causes mass confusion and frustration. You end up with different contract dates and variation of prices of what was previously agreed.
Why can't TT just make a simple adjustment .
I think you can read into this that I would not recommend TalkTalk.

I'm another Victim. They just don't seem to understand the situation :(

I have currently renewed my contract with TalkTalk, I must admit It was hassle free.

I did telephone the loyalty team on three occassions, but thats because I wanted a good offer, and boi did I get that.

What did I get you may ask??? well my package includes the following:

    I am on the essentials package, with some extras. I agreed the following;

    Free local calls 24/7
Free calls to other talktalk customers 24/7
Free national calls evening and weekends
Free 0845 / 0870 calls evening and weekends
Free landline calls to 36 european countries (plus the USA and Canada)
Free mobile calls to USA and Canada
Free 1000 minutes to UK Mobiles for three months
    Free Unlimited down loads.

I have there home phone and broadband, how much would you say this bundle cost me?? £15.00 per month???? £20.00 per month £25.00 per month??? hell no.

Firstly I have payed the value line rental of £114.00
(works out at £9.50 per month)

    I pay a further £1.25 per month
    (I have half price broadband)
(plus a further £2.00 discount for 12 months.)

Grand Total I pay each month: £1.25

Its clear talktalk can not be beaten on price. Yes I have had issues with talk talk in the past, but i much prefer to comunicate to talktalk on the members forum than phone support.

I am happy with talk talk, and really pleased with the package they have offered me. If I remain within my phone package (which I usually do) then all I pay is £1.25 per month, that is a great price
Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!

I recently installed TalkTalk and they were actually quite good. They had to arrange for a BT engineer to put in a new telephone line which turned into a large job, none of which I got charged for. I had to wait 4 weeks or so for installation but they offered a good deal and my speed is decent. My only gripe is that I got hit with a price increase two month's after signing up.

I'm been with TAlkTalk a number of years and I'm moving from one London address to another London address this Friday, and my present telephone number is to change to another number which TalkTalk has supplied to me when I move to my new address.

Why can't they just port my present number to my new address - after all BT will do it and I'm sure if I were royalty there would be no question about it. Also, please TalkTalk if you are listening, give me back my number because after the 020 prefix starts, the next number is three - 0203... which doesn't give a clue to anyone phoning it that its a London number, as they usually start with 0207 or 0208 . I've tried here because all I get on the TalkTalk forum is apologists for them. Cheers MSE'rs

Yeah, the prefix is 020, but the inner and outer London numbers start with 7 or 8 respectively as the first number of your phone number.

I have now had no phone or broadband for 105 hours. Certainly moneysaving in the respect that I am not sales shopping via my phone but I am trying to do work and have now exceeded my Vodafone internet and now monthly minutes. Everytime I try to phone to find out what, if anything, is being done it takes an age to find out absolutely nothing. The same thing happened four months ago I was phone andbroadbandless for fi
Six days. The only reason I am still with them is because I was waiting for them to refund an engineer cost that I wasn't supposed to be charged for and that took months, they were also going to give me a coutesey refund for all the hassle. As of yet still waiting. Now I will probably be looking at the same issue. Surely its not unreasonable to expect to be given some idea of what is going on. P.s I am not in an area with any storm issue - we've been very lucky in that respect.
