Lordy that is some growth spurt this summer that your DS had
I played the russian roulette of waiting until the last moment to buy uniforms praying I could still get what was needed in the right sizes.
which has prompted me I need to check on dd's ballet stuff as she has an exam before Xmas
On your daughters ballet dress - could you have a word with the group leader - and see if she knows anyone willing to pass stuff down to people like her with smaller sizes - the leotard is not much good to them once their kids have outgrown it... Or ask the parents directly or put up a notice asking...:money: Pride is great if you can afford it but it doesn't pay the bills - we have 2 incomes but still can't afford to be too proud and most of my DD's clothes get passed on to her... Unfortunately DS is now too tall so don't get much for him now which is a shameAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

SH - Bless your son not minding his clothes being too big. When my DS was little always bought big and mainly Boden and he looked cute in oversized clothes at that age. tbh the stuff lasted ages and fleeces, t-shirts etc were passed on to DD so got my money's worth.
Now he is not so happy if things are on the 'you'll grow into it size'. Mind you I find a lot of the uniform is worn out before grown out. I was not a happy bunny though when last year it was a 'craze' apparently to rip the pockets off each others shirts
DD has done well with hand me downs for ballet from a friend but she has now outgrown them all - will do as you suggest and ask teacher if there is any 2nd hand stuff.
Not doing so well with todays list - was a loooong day at work and am tired.
2 loads of washing - 1 done so far may squeeze in another
post the letters from yesterday - done
Finish tidying conservatory - not tonight
dust and hoover the lounge - will do after posting this before settling down to watch a bit of TV
2nd 0% card arrived today and have been setting in motion my final balance transfers. Within next week or so should have it all done and dusted and can then concentrate on paying it off :T
Better go and do those final [STRIKE]chores[/STRIKE] challenges

Luckily the rip each others shirts off didn't land at DS's school but he kept splitting his trousers last year - partly cos he yoyos on his waistline I think and won't admit when his trousers don't fit him... Sometimes his teachers took pity on him and let them use the school sewing machines to sew them up - other times he did it himself by hand - I'll leave you to imagine how long that lasted. Occasionally his grandmothers would sew them up too but its not my gifting so I gave it a miss LOL
I've had to spend another £7 today on pe socks (2 pairs) as they are cracking down on them - and his feet are now gigantic. DS and DD both took packed lunches today tho which saved me £4 and I just got a Mr A price guarantee voucher for £2.39 so that practically pays for them in my mind... DD has already brought home a school trip letter, and DS has a contribution request letter from his catholic school... It never ends
Hope you have a lovely weekend without too many challengesAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well I am back diary to confess that I have had a very busy and not at all MSE couple of days. In fact I fell of the not spending wagon big time on Friday
But I will jump straight back on and keep on trundling along the road to being DF.
Have friends over for dinner today and cooking traditional roast beef dinner. The joint is huge so hopefully plenty of leftovers for sandwiches and another meal.:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( = £13000 to pay off

Oh no you falling off the wagon Fuzzy, but you are back on it thats the main thing
.
Enjoy your roast beef, sounds delish xxMummytogirls x0 -
Thanks MTG - Roast Beef was lovely - even though I say so myself
No challenges set today - in fact trying to muster up the energy to set any let alone do them. Monday is always such a long day - well it seems like it and slept very badly last night.
Sorry diary and anyone reading but I am not the beacon of positivity today. Will have an early night and be back tomorrow with renewed energy.
Must hang on to the fact that even though I fell off the MSE wagon I have made positive steps recently and everything will be on 0% so every bit I pay off will make a difference. Just need to stay on the wagon as much as possible!:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( = £13000 to pay off
