I try and donate to British Heart Foundation whenever I can (family problems with hearts) and one of my friends is contemplating doing a Sahara trek for them. Well done for doing the 10k :) They really are a fabulous charity (as you will probably know) Do you have a just giving page?

No, I'm being sponsored by work/my brownies (who are walking with me so we're not allowed to use internet for fund raising as it's kids)/dancing school/local heart group/other girl guiding groups in the area/friends and family.

Ive read this thread with great intent over the last day or 2. Glaswejen you are an incredible inspiration. It must be such a daunting thing to know you have such little time left and you are facing it head on. Ive been on the organ donor register for years ( i do however have several heart conditions myself so they probably wouldn't touch me) and it should be something that EVERYONE has to do!!

Tell this man you love him, if he's reacted so badly to the news that you need a new heart then he obviously has some feelings for you! Perhaps he is sat at home right now wondering how on earth to tell you that he is in love with you? He may be thinking that with everything that you don't want a relationship.

I pray that you get the heart that you need! Take care of yourself sweet, do everything youve ever wanted to do and enjoy the rest of your life. x

Well I did it. Complete moment of madness, I've only ever made one other man cry and that was my ex when I broke his nose at boxing (accidentally I promise).

We're going out for coffee tomorrow, I'm really nervous. Can't believe we've known each other so long and it's taken this to make us wake up.

Apparently it's better late than never.

    Thank you everyone

  • Jen, I hope you get your happy ending, whether its the transplant(obviouslt thats what we all want for you), or being loved and cherished by the man you love at the end of your days. X
