Have you heard from him? I really hope you do tell him how you feel, love is precious and if you can have a chance at it, go for it! The last thing you want to be doing now is wondering 'What if?'

GlasweJen - I didn't realise you were so ill. I'm so sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed that a donor (i'm assuming a donor is required) becomes available soon (in the best possible way).
I would say go for it. Tell him the truth about the illness and that you like him. You aren't responsible for how he reacts to that, nor can you accurately guess how he will react or feel.

Give him some time GlasweJen. It may take him a few days to wrap his head around this, and compose himself again. He's a good friend to you, so he's probably thinking that he needs to get himself together a bit before talking to you again, so he doesn't put extra worry on your shoulders.
