As I said. I am not sure of your agenda. Quite frankly it's very odd.

I never said you were lying about the item received but I know you were being dishonest about the item I posted a link to.
If you did not want anyone to find the listing then you should not have gave so many clues. You gave it away in your first post by mentioning the brand of the bag and the price you paid.
Only you and the seller know the truth about the bag sent/received. When I read this thread I was looking at it from another point of view (which I am allowed) thinking what if the seller did send the correct bag. I then get called 'paranoid' what a pathetic response! Another poster proved this can happen in reverse situations where the correct item was sent and the buyer claimed to have received a cheaper item. I have been using eBay for over 7 year and this sort of problem has never crossed my mind until I read your thread last night.
I understand what you are saying but everything in the opening post was true apart from the descriptions of both bags, as i dont want my user id or the sellers user id to be revealed, so i used two different designer names instead of the real ones, didnt actually think there would be a chloe out there. Im sure noone wants their ebay user ID to be revealed which is why i said it was a chloe but that link is completely irrelevant to me.
I am not a dishonest person and wouldnt be to people who are being so nice and helpful to me
I know there are two sides but i came here to get help on my side0

How would you come to a decision then?
IMO (or am I not allowed to have my own opinion ) ... It's a difficult one for paypal to prove what was sent/received.
I would have thought this would be a police matter because it is the buyers word against the sellers so Paypal shouldn't just favour the buyer (as they would normally do) in a situation like this without investigating properly as it is a lot of money to lose for the buyer or seller.
My only guess would be that they find out the correct weight of the bag which was originally purchased and have the orginal packaging inspected, that way they could work out the weight of the item and packaging received and compare it to the one on the postal receipt to see if it adds up.
I just hope whoever is telling the truth is not at a loss as it is a lot of money to lose.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0

Why on earth would the OP post on here if they'd planned some scam or other? surely they'd already have some game plan in place
What was the value of the sellers other items like? They seem to have their side of the story already thought out and talk of weights and DNA etc seem very planned out to me.
I wouldn't worry HY91 as paypal almost always favour the buyer so just make sure you follow things thru to the letter. Even if that fails you'll always have the option of a chargeback thru the cc company. Even if postie's been fiddling around with things (which let's face it is unlikely) it's nothing to do with you or your problem just ignore the sellers emails and leave ebay/payal to sort it from now on.0

eBay have come back with a response and it's good news, they have said to return the bag within 5 days to get my refund! The seller now wants the original packaging but obviously when I got the bag I tore the packaging apart so I dont know how I'll put the bag back in there. She has got a crime number from the police an will get the bag investigated for fingerprints and apparently can't do this without sending the original packaging! She's been told by eBay to appeal against the decision that was made, but surely if I send back the bag there's nothing more I have to do after sending it back. She can deal with the police 0 0

Well done. Put the packaging inside the bag or in the packaging anyway. I would take a photo of the stamp from the original packaginf before you send it back.
I know that people will come on and say that there's nothing you can do with it but that will show that the bag you received cost more or less the same to send back. If you use a plastic mailer then it probably will be the same.
 Send it tracked, special delivery.0

I'm not sure what the police would or could do. Your seller is talking out her behind, what does she think fingerprinting this bag will prove?
Make sure that the bag will be tracked & have an online signature.0

She wants it fingerprinted cos she says the police will never find her fingerprints on the bag0
