OP I wouldn't be panicking here yet, let ebay/paypal sort it out and only panic if they refuse to allow your refund. It is unlikely, almost impossible though that you will lose with paypal, and you will just be told to return it for a full refund. Just be persistent, ignore the silly childish threats from the seller. If you want to do something then start building up some background info, keep a file on your PC so it is to hand.

Check the sellers address, so some digging online see if the user name appears anywhere else, that sort of thing. Hopefully you'll never need any of it but it will keep your mind occupied.

This has made me feel loads better as i am starting to get into a panic and was intending to go into the police sstation rather than calling. Would you think going to the station is worth it? i wouldnt know what to say as really im just wasting their time. Yes i have so far been persistent with everything and have also keep a copy of all phone calls, text messages, pictures of the bag and it is all stored. Just want next saturday to hurry up already.

Apparently paypal have advised her now that the bag will be taken by police to have it checked for DNA, shes adamant that her fingerprints wont be on there. But do police even give a S*** about these things? All i want is my money back and she can have the bag.
I think she's been watching too much CSI on the telly and has a vivid imagination!

To follow the TV analogy as she has shown herself to be somewhat frivolous with the truth she should be treated now as a hostile seller. (I remember my Ironside as well as the more modern stuff!). treat everything the seller says as nonsense and keep calm.

Quick note - a STUDENT buying a £450 bag? Might jack in the job and go and study something as i can't afford a £450 anything!

(Sorry OP that's not meant as a personal dig!)

Student covers a lot of people
when I was at Edinburgh Uni there were young students with new flash cars and bought flats whilst others held down multiple jobs just to eat

I remember having to return something similar a year or two back and the seller threatened she would not accept a parcel back and said she wouldn't sign for it and said I wouldn't get a refund. So I got a Next delivery box from a neighbour and sent the parcel special delivery. The seller oviously thought she was getting a delivery from Next and signed for it and I got my money back from paypal.

Brilliant, maybe a box they use to deliver flowers and champagne in would be good.
Luckily you only have to prove attempted delivery now, as lots of sellers will refuse an item, thinking that they're being clever.

What was her feedback like, anything there to suggest this or something similar has happened before - check feedback given to her for buying and selling and feedback she has left for others.
