Sounds like a fox to me :)

I'm a country boy. I know what a fox sounds like. Used to hear them all the time but I've only heard the banshee once.

I believe because of the things I've seen and heard, and I am afraid of the dark. Not because I'm scared of monsters or ghosts, but purely because I have no night vision whatsoever and if the lights go out I'm stuffed!

If it's any consolation, everyone is stuffed when the lights go out. Night vision doesn't happen immediately - it takes quite a few minutes for your pupils to adjust to the lack of light.
