I am not afraid of the dark - I like the dark! it gets quiet and on nights like this when there are thunderstorms predicted I like it even more! Natures firework show!
as for ghosts - I have seen, sensed and felt some. mostly they are harmless. people who wouldnt hurt you in life wouldnt hurt you after they die!

I'd like the option of don't believe but still terrified of the dark :-). I don't think ghosts exist but I still HATE walking around the house after about 11pm alone or in the dark. At 10 that was probably acceptable but I'm 19 now...I didn't put the bins out last night because it was scary and dark!

Not at all afraid of the dark of ghosties, our house is in the country so is as black as the ace of spades at night, that combined with our resident spirit friends make for some interesting nights sometimes.

Its strange - people who have seen or lived with ghosts tend NOT to be afraid of them. People who havent - Are! is that bizarre or what!

I dont believe in ghosts, but I am scared of the dark. Massively scared. Leaving a light on at night type of scared. I'm 36 years old.

Yes I believe and no im not scared My parents live in an old farm house and we often hear heavy footsteps on the landing, and when my husband and I lived there between houses, he came home one night from the pub to see the old lady who died in the house come out of the dining room (it was her bedroom at the end) and walk across the kitchen and into the downstairs loo. I also woke up to findthe duvet pinned down either side of me by something I couldnt see. Whatever it was didnt hurt me and my parents have never had anything scary happen so I just accept that ghosts exist and they wont hurt us

I haven't voted yet as am not really sure how to answer! I am certainly not afraid of the dark in fact during stressful periods I find the peace and tranquility that it brings reassuring. I am certainly not afraid of the dead as dead people don't harm you....the living are far more prone to doing that. I have no experience of ghosts so don't think they exist but maybe strangely I wouldn't at all mind if they did as it would be lovely to believe that those who have gone before us are watching over us and trying to keep us safe.
