  • Well I suppose we've all had things like that. Not exactly that unexplainable tbh.

I suspect my ghosts would have to be a little less subtle than that! :rotfl: or a lot less subtle! :D Tapping me on the arm and saying "I'm a ghost" would be a good start.

I've lived in old old houses for most of my life and have "definitely" heard someone walking at times, but I'd draw the line at calling them ghosts. Old houses would probably be a better definition ;)

I did see a weird animal morphing thing when I was about 8, scared the bejasus out of me, I still feel uncomfortable about it now, even though I've mostly convinced myself it must have been my imagination.

Yeah, some of it could just be a product of an overactive imagination, but the drony thing was so weird it made me pretty sure there was something out of the ordinary there!
But I agree most paranormal experiences are probably nothing of the sort. I have things like sleep paralysis and dream looping all the time, I can easily see how some people might think those things are related to alien abduction or ghosts, they can be bloody terrifying.
Your morphing animal sounds pretty scary, what did it morph into?

Oh sorry, just saw what you said about the morphing animal - never mind!
  • A bloody huge black cat the size of a female lion! Well not quite that big, but big enough to send the hair on the back of my neck up and my legs to jelly.
That's another thing I didn't believe in before I saw it.

My dad knew someone who saw a big cat. He was walking through the woods one night with a torch when he saw a bloody big black panther-thingy and dropped the torch with fright. By the time he picked it up again the cat was gone. It's odd how these big cats aren't seen more often, but I do believe they're out there. This guy wasn't one to lie about such things.

I probably should think about it tbh. A cat changed into a "thing" like a monster "thing", all so odd, it's difficult to explain. It sort of exploded out like something from the film MASK, made a face at me, then went back into a cat again. A pretty ugly cat with only one eye and alot of scars, but still a cat.
I only saw it'd head, because it was looking round a corner at me.

It totally totally freaked me out and I was a pretty tough little boy tbh.

I'm scared of the dark. My partner takes the michael out of me for this but I can't help it, always been the way!

Even if I'm in my own house, doors locked, I could be in the room with the light on perfectly happily and then turn off the light I suddenly get scared - even though I know there coudn't possibly be anything or anyone in the room that wasn't there two seconds ago when the light was on!

I was going to put the "its rubbish" vote but then realised that I actually won't sleep in our guest room as I had a strange experience in there.. Felt something get on the bed next to me (no it wansn't the dog - door was shut). Probably a bad pint BUT - put the willies up me (can you really say that??) enough. I'm not scared of much really - once chased three lads out of my house with my trusty Gurkha knife in my underpants - not a nice sight especially the skid marks...

You really shouldn't keep your kukri in your underpants. No telling what might happen. You could accidentally join the choir as a castrati ;)
  • My immediate reaction was 'I do not believe in this rubbish' but my 99 year old Nana is quite ill at the moment and is not afraid of passing because she believes Jack (husband of 50 years died nearly 30 years ago) will come to collect her. I believe he will too, so therefore 'I believe and am not afraid'.

It's so weird, I've not heard of anything else like it, I was asked at the time what it looked like and all I said was "the devil". It took me a bit of thinking time before I wrote what I did on the other page. I was convinced that I had seen the devil for many many years, in between being convinced I must have imagined the whole thing.
The main problem, is that I am a literal realist, I believe what I see and I don't make up stuff, never have. So either this came from my deep subconscious, or some other thing I don't understand.

It's so odd, I just don't tell anyone about it, as most people think I'm a little weird already :D
