  • I always list 99p bits and bobs so yep always use turbo lister and put them on whenever ....i didn't realise that free listing weekends you couldn't use them...i'll keep that in mind thanks! I ran out of expensive things to sell a long time ago :p

  • You can't use turbolister and list items for free on a free listing weekend

Try and have items ending at 8-9pm for maximum amount of bidders

If you schedule your listings for say 10pm tonight, (the scheduling costs 6p I think) then at say 8.30pm go in and amend them to list immediately. This won't cost you 6p but you will have them ending at the right time of day.

But don't have something finishing during a big TV programme eg a film premiere, Downton etc as people won't want to be watching/bidding!

Good Luck - I listed about 15 things this afternoon and it took me about 45 mins and I'm not a newbie.

My 10 measly items have, in the five hours since their listing attracted an even measlier 17 watchers. Not surprised at there being 0 bids seeing as they are 7 day auctions, but only 17 watchers. Pitiful. Especially as the total completed prices for these items comes in at a rather splendid £417. So whoever was out there buying them obviously already has, or doesn't do Sundays. However, it is one more mental block out of the way, just leaving one big one left now - but that's a whole Pandora's box that needs to be kept nailed shut. Running should happen in the morning, at which point I should be able to answer Mrs B's question (as I was desperately begging for them not to be washed) of what could be worse than dirty running shorts. Judging by the state of them this evening, wet running shorts will be my reply.

Anyone with any sense does't bid until nearer the end of the auction. Having the watchers could be a good sign.

In my experience hardly anyone bids until right near the end then it all goes a bit mental. So don't worry, so long as you have watchers watching it all sounds okay.

The answer to "what could be worse than running in dirty shorts?" turned out to be quite complex - running in wet shorts on a cold morning was certainly worse, running in wet shorts where the elastic/drawstring appears to have lost its purpose and you spend all the time worrying the shorts are going to fall down is considerably worse, and running in wet falling down shorts and tripping over the pavement landing headfirst and having to then walk the remaining kilometre home with bleeding knees, hands and a sore nose is absolutely worse. But getting my BMI back under 38 (37.96) and the weight to 22-04 makes all the pain (both physical and ebay) worthwhile.

Ouch! Just found your diary and love your style! Well done on the weight loss, surviving eBay, and making it home (almost) in one piece!
