But its often how its used :D:D:D

Thanks for all the advice about ebay but I'm gonna have to go with Plan A

Your stuff, your decision - at least you know :j
Right, that's enough procrastination, all work and no wine obviously makes Mr Bloater a leftie.

On the upside, weight plummeted to an insane 22-02 and BMI at a quite perky 37.75.

:j:j:j Excellent! Hope today goes well for you, and the knee pain was just a blip.

Oh noooooooo! Not the knees. I gave up on the glucosamine stuff and started taking tumeric supplements ( not culinary grade but real hard core stuff!) This was actually for something else but the spin off was its good for knees too - seems to work and I am no complementary medicine disciple but I am always willing to have a go. My orthopaedic surgeon gave me 7 years, 2 years ago, before I would need knee replacements - I am out to prove him wrong ;)

DS poorly today so I didn't have the school run, hence in work by 6.30 breakfast bereft and cashless. Not the best setup for a very busy day. By about 11.30 I was feeling lightheaded, by about 1.30 I was almost in a coma. Was able to thankfully blag a sarnie off the bosses' PA which just about kept my blood sugar high enough for consciousness. Another takeaway night (tut tut!) that was fully loved by all, but the strangest thing of all is we have 1 entire pizza left, my stomach would appear to have shrunk down so I am full on much less these days. No more pain from the knee - it's gonna be weird not running tomorrow but I have to take it easy. Thankfully I have the project from hell to keep me busy. The more the boss tells me not to worry the more I do worry.

Up at 4.26 and am really having to force myself not to go running. Am fully rested having been asleep since 8.30 and am itching to clear the cobwebs - but, I must give my knee a rest. I hate having this effing failing project cloud hanging over me and can only hope that come Friday it reaches a conclusion one way or another. Was supposed to spend all evening getting it fixed but thought sleep was the best option.

Wine Friday whatever the outcome and then I want to get right back on track with the weightloss and moneysaving goals without this shadow looming over me. Weight unsurprisingly has bounced back up to 22-05, BMI 38-07 but that doesn't cause me any woe - it was coming down way too fast anyway.

:j:j:j your stomach has shrunk, so you're on the self-reinforcing bit now

Since you're so frustrated at not running, MrB ... um, getting to a swimming pool for low impact exercise probably takes more time than you've got right now .... do you have any free weights? If you use lighter weights you can really get going and get some aerobic exercise that way, without using your knees at all :) Try freecycle ...

    Hey Mr B,

Maybe you could still do some stetches and even some strength exercises to help you continue with your training. No impact on the knees but still excercing somewhat! Squats (front quads, inner and outer leg raises (lying on your side, for inner and outer thighs) toe raises and maybe lunges. Sets of ten to start with and build up the sets from there gradually to three sets of ten.

Like I said previously, you have inspired me to take up the running again, I am nearly two weeks in and loving it.

    Cheers,

    Daz.

would like to think that some fan might get the vinyl they have been craving for a bargain price - hold on I'm starting to sound like a communist.

Nothing wrong with sounding as - or for that matter being - a communist. Particualrly now that it is clear that this capitalist lark is not working very well and we may have made a big, mega mistake when we based our economies and societies on principles of 'growth' and 'competition'.
