    moi?

I only do that at work thanks (HR Manager, think Green Wing, not Dinner Ladies )

WTG on the debts and weight loss. I bypassed the Lindemans, wasn't keen on it so we have the fairtrade rose merlot also on offer.

Cheap fizz and Che 1 film courtesy of film to go a couple of weeks ago at 35p. for me tonight. Just had a homemade spag bol which was really tasty even if I do say so myself.

Hope Mr B enjoys Glee and Brighton do well (sorry LovelyLeeds). I myself am a Liverpool fan so hoping things improve.

  • 2-0 down at halftime! It's enough to turn me to drink. Actually the drink has inspired me to think about how I can make our little garden work for us - would love to grow some veg etc but more importantly the exercise benefits that would be derived from this. Might have to trundle over to the greenfingered board for some inspiration.

Must also in my halfcut mood thank the person who ages back (sorry I don't have the patience to reread the entire magnum opus of 301k) informed me that a matchbox size of cheese was something like the equivalent of 5 packets of ham. Cheese was always my downfall. Especially with Marmite. In a crusty french stick. But anyway, since reading on here about the fatness of cheese I have become immune to it, there has been 2 giant slabs of Cathedral City from a 2 for 1 deal sitting in the fridge untouched by me for well over a week.

And a more recent Wii question: used mainly for the scales, altho all the WiiFit activities are a laugh, as is WiiSports and the sequel SportsIsland which my daughter particularly likes cos you can ram fellow cyclists off the edge of the mountain, and Zumba, etc. Whilst it's a poor approximation of the sports/activities it replicates, it at least gets you moving and that is the main thing.

Off to plan a 5k run tomorrow - breaking through to that distance will be a massive psychological boost for me.

    Hi Mr B,

I grew green beans this summer. Planted 4 plants against a lattice frame on the fence. enough beans for me every other day so if you planted about 8 should see you good. Can either be against a fence / wall or one of those hooped frames.

Forgiven (for a while anyway ;)). My lad is a Liverpool fan - most annoying I have to say.
MrB: sort of sorry, but not - I know you will understand... :rotfl:

3-3 a fab result!- im a Leeds fan from days of yore--my mother was born there!(sadly she came south to Bournemouth where football is a passive past time!)

Mr B how much equity have you got in your home?(excuse the question if it has been stated before but with 30 pages and my short span of attention i need recapping!)--İm 48 and a Leeds fan--its good to read about another baby boomer!

  • Today's run was totally inspired by Mrs B. I was not at all up for it, it's a bit shivery here in the capital at the moment and a very strong voice in my head (not really a voice I hasten to add - more a feeling, before people start suggesting I need anti-psychotic medication) told me not to venture out. But when the boy Bloater was delivered his bottle at 4.45 and I attempted to get comfy again Mrs B uttered those Balboeque words of grit and inspiration - "Bye, then", and so, being a well-trained husband, I went out and did a 5k run for the first time since the spring (and even then I'd only ever done 2 or 3 of them). A new route brought new challenges - although interestingly cos it was down the softer end of town the trio of hoodies looked more scared of me than vice-versa and stepped out into the road, but the main bugbear was the lighting, not sure if its down to tree preservation orders or just utter bloody stupidity but the lamposts are all right next to these giant trees and so are rendered pratically useless. Due to this, in order to prepare for any trips on the undulating pavements I had to adopt a different running style, one that gave me most scope for balance with arms outstretched and high leg lifts landing onto flat feet - somewhat remeniscent of how Super Mario gets about in all the Nintendo games. My hair is also getting too long and this must be adding pounds to my weight, I am in danger of turning into an Emo. Might have to sort that out today, and also see if there is any decent value running kit available. Not vests, I refuse to ever do vests, but something that stops me feeling like the kid who's had to borrow PE kit might help. Actually it's no surprise those hoodies moved out of the way, I think I would cross the street if a 6ft 4 Emo Mario in borrowed PE kit came bounding towards me.
