I think that the 8k can wait for another day. Maybe you are overdoing things a little and need to have a bit of R&R. Try to care of you.

Good luck on what ever you decide to run today. If the cold is too bad then stay in bed. Running in the chill early in the morning will NOT help

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Faced with the no-win situation of going out this morning - attempting some running and feeling sicker, or staying in this morning - feeling sicker cos I didn't attempt the running, I kinda found a compromise which hasn't made me any sicker. Once the Benylin kicked in I just managed to do 30 minutes free jogging on the Wii - was able to clock up just over 6k and worked up a bit of a sweat which might go some way to counteracting the biggest sin of yesterday - completely cracking late at night and eating the infamous matchbox size of cheese - but this was a Swan Vesta box - in a couple of deliriously fantastic sandwiches. Am actually feeling a lot clearer headed than before, so its either the medication or the fact I've sweated out some of the bug. Will leave the weigh-in til later.

Am determined to squeeze another few NSDs and AFDs out of this month, we're on 5 already I think. Hopefully no more running-free days.

now mr bloater i'm an early riser hense why im writing on your blog at 5.30am however what time did you normally get up pre jogging weightloss mission? I only ask as with this weightloss malarky it's really good to do something that fits in with your lifestyle, i'm worried that once the initial determination wanes (and it will) your getting up very very early will be knocked on the head as its v difficult to maintain iyswim?
You must have been up at least 3.15am to do half an hr on the wii so are you getting enough sleep??
  • Great idea to jog on he wii...get well soon Mr B :)

  • Haven't bothered with any more medication - the Wii Fit jogging seems to have killed the cold off before it took root. For those worrying about my sleep patterns, please don't. I can't recall a time in my adult life when I have slept more than three hours uninterrupted, and even as a little Bloater I would be up at 5.30 for my paper rounds and was always awake til after midnight. Bloaters are now going to spend the afternoon in the garden - not sure whether to allocate a little patch for veg or not - will it be worth the effort or is it just providing extra nourishment for the copious slugs?

Wow! Your immune system must be in really good nick! Good for you :) Veg patch ... I'd say yes! Grow something thats really expensive in the shops that you do actually eat - courgettes? They're apparently easy to grow. And a couple of fruit bushes .... strawberries root easily too.

Have a nice afternoon, you deserve it!

  • Mr B: evict the slugs with beer traps and enjoy the veg patch - it's a great way to save a bit of money on veg, enjoy your garden more and also teach the little Bloaters on where food comes from: many children have a woefully inadequate education with regards to where their food comes from nowadays.

Plus, it's pretty good exercise. Win-win, I reckon!

Enjoy the rest of your day. :)
