Also, I don't know if you have thought about these things before but are you doing everything you can to save energy and, especially, diesel/petrol?
If you haven't already, both your and MrsB adopting a more economical driving style could save you a lot and removing any necessary weight from the vehicle, checking tyre pressures etc could all add up.
You seem quite far along in your money saving journey so you may have already considered all this0 -
Broke the ever-increasing mental barrier this morning and chugged along for 4k without stopping so am very smug yet also a tad unsettled. Unsettled because my new route takes in another parade of shops which also houses a bathroom/plumbing shop - except this one's legit -it's a proper old school South London place where you walk out too terrified to tell the old feller that you've bought the wrong part (cos you didn't know a flush valve from a closed cistern) - because he looks like he's killed before, and will kill again. Parked outside said shop however was a Courier van with a familiar logo on it, and parked inside munching what appeared to be a sausage roll was an old adversary of mine. When I had a stint of running back in April I had a run in with courier man because he was playing chicken with me not letting me cross over and generally being a tool. A few hand gestures and a clarion call of "Where's your ****ing black and white cat then?" and the matter should have been resolved. However, courier driver also happens to have a daughter in my girl's class at school. I sometimes accidentially hum the jaunty theme tune to Postman Pat on the occasions when I might totally coincidentially end up sitting behind him at school information evenings. Courier driver is also a former professional footballer who thinks he is a local celebrity. He isn't - he's a local courier driver. As I was chugging past he started his engine and drove off at low speed alongside me. These antics didn't last long, he turned down his road - presumably to stock up on more sausage rolls and I just trundled on, almost being taken out by a spiv in a Merc who was parked on the pavement revving up for no obvious reason. Not sure if I'll run that route again tomorrow.
Weighed in 22-13, BMI stable at 39-09, next big big target is to get that consistently into the 38s.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Morning MrB loving your diary, you are an inspiration, it might even get me back on my cross trainer first thing on a morning.
I am concerned about your lack of sleep though. I suffer from lack of sleep and wondered if you had considered how this affects eating habits and weight loss?
Although we may not feel tired if our body is tired we crave snacks to stimulate us and I can see that you also have a stressful job which is another trigger. I am also in the middle of a really busy project at the moment and for the last two days I have been permanantly eating. I just can't concentrate on the task in hand without thinking I need something to eat AGAIN and when I get home I'm just too tired too have something proper and end up snacking again.
Today I am going to try and eat slow release foods to keep me going. Sorry this is not meant to be about me its supposed to be a well done to you x :AThe most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. Steve Biko0 -

A man was talking to God.
God, he said, how long is a million years?
God answered, in my frame of reference, it's about a minute.
The man asked, God, what is a million pounds?
God answered, to me, it's a penny.
The man then asked, God, can i have a penny?
God answered, in a minute. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Maybe took the celebrations a tad too far tonight again. Managed to polish off the remaining Stella in an idyllic evening that comprised the Soccer Spacial on SSN and flicking between threads on MSE. Am very happy to be posting on this board - there are some angry souls on the other boards.
Resisted the Cheese & Marmite sandwich but indeed plumped for Tuna, Low Fat Mayo and Tabasco. Perfect!Pleasure. You have to be at a certain level of health to have pleasure and continue to have pleasure into a healthy old age. Don't worry about it!
The murdering bathroom salesman, however :rotfl: and the pr*t of a courier driver   but if *you're* the one humming Postman Pat, you can't *really* complain:D:D fun tho :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Jetplane has a good point there - but you're stable, you're continuing to exercise, just keep going now ...
I remember Martin making the point several times that the dfw board is a little haven of support - I think thats true, and certainly, even when I've commented on threads for his blog, some of the comments have been so vile, and so knee-jerk, I've deleted my own, not wanting to be associated with them. Stay here (and Old Style, for learning cheaper food!) and lurk everywhere else as you need:D:D

I agree that some of the other boards have some scary characters on them, not the sort of places to hang out if you're feeling a bit low anyway...
The local courier driver also sounds like a complete tool !
I find that drinking alcohol (even a glass or two) disturbs my sleep pattern so I've knocked my cheeky L*mbrini habit on the head as a trial measure...What a classy tipple! Cheap, fizzy and a bit common, (a little bit like me) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I sometimes send my husband to the Sparshop for it at night if the craving gets too strong, he has to stand in the queue with all the other L*mbrini buyers who he says "smell of fake tan and go shopping in their pyjamas"...ahh, I just realised that he must really love me after all'Forget injuries, never forget kindnesses' - Confucious0 -

And so you should be!
Lots of things that are worth doing seem to come with mental barriers and/or plateaux (?spelling) attached, the trick is to find a way to push through them (talking to myself as well here). Good on you for keeping on going, and yay to staying under 23st, and the BMI will soon be in the 38s as well at this rate.Miggy

Sadly couldn't make it a fourth consecutive NSD as we needed milk and lunch stuff but got away with a £12 spend at the Co-Op. Already got my pyjamas on as I need an early night and have to stay out of trouble tomorrow - doing an opening speech tomorrow night to an audience that could range from 5 to 500.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)
