  • Hi Mr Bloater,

I too am a long term lurker who read all of your diary at the end of the year - it made me smile a lot at a not very cheerful time so thank you! I hope you manage to sell your Adam Ant visor - I met him a few years ago which was slightly depressing as he did not in the slightest resemble the gorgeous young man I fancied in my youth...!!

    Good luck with everything!

MrB., remember, each item you list & sell is one less to list & sell.

The end is in in there somewhere.

  • Crawled to the finish line of another month and still standing.... March is going to have some hefty ebaying for everything to tick over. Need about £200 to keep things civil. Am tempted to go for volume rather than quality - could well chuck on 150 things for a quid and with a little postal profit on each.... New job is still going well and the aches and pains seem to be subsiding with the regular doses of glucosamine that I am taking - plus a massive reduction in wine intake. Whilst February is going to score a shameful zero on the run count - I do hold out hope that a few k's can be chewed up this weekend. I'm too young (just about) to give into the inevitable middle aged aches pains gout etc.

well done on another month survived
  • Good, no fantastic news from work today was that the promised permanent contract finally transpired this afternoon - coincidentially enough just after I was officially appraised and deemed as being 'good'. Not back yet to my decade of being 'outstanding' but a world away from when the knives started coming out and everything I did 'required improvement'. Self-esteem back to pre-September levels and finally believing in myself in a professional context again. Did treat myself to some (special offer) alcohol tonight but counteracted it by managing to get 64 items listed on ebay as well. Getting permanance back into my working life is a major step to getting the whole kaboodle back on track.

EDIT: Woo-hoo! What a positive post for my 500th one.

Fantastic news Mr B, well done :j:j:j.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
