• Despite the worrying disappearance of the Adam and the Ants sun visor, Sunday was pretty positive overall - braved the rain for a soggy hour of shed Tetris - sadly two of the car seats had fallen prey to mice and so were in no fit state to list - but retrieved some stuff and duly listed 25 items - we've got bids on 5 things already and cos Mrs B did the actual listing process for a few of the things I#m kinda hoping she might get the ebay bug cos she keeps checking how many watchers there are etc, if I can split the load of putting things up on there then we can get a lot more stuff out the door and a lot more cash into the bank. Fingers crossed.

Found out from the MSE Energy Club thingy that we can get a better deal on dual fuel than we currently are on - Mrs B is going to do some more research but we should be looking at about £15-20 a month better on that front as well.

Have a meeting with the head honcho at my new place today to discuss the future - priority for me at the moment is permanence - that's worth more to my peace of mind than some short term payrise. Have a few ideas up my sleeve but I think today is more about hearing what is on offer from their side.

And things seem to going better on the weightloss front as well - day 4 of some strict calorie counting and my weight heading downwards again.

Now if I could only get that flipping PPI letter thing sent off...

Good Luck with the meeting Mr B....
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Hope the meeting goes well and they make an offer you can't refuse.

Good luck with your sales on ebay.

As the others said: good luck with the meeting.

And at least the car seats are out of the Shed Tetris game, even if it's only to the dump...

• And so the Bloater bus of positivity trundles on - found an unopened letter from Mrs B's fruity former mobile phone provider - and rather than thinking it was some errant bill or a plea to return malarky, I was convinced it would contain a cheque. And surely enough it did. For thirteen unexpected quid. A good way to start the morning. Got the PPI paperwork ready now as well to post - just need to acquire an envelope. Meeting went well - was offered permanent contract (woo-hoo) and the go-ahead to try and devise some extra-curricular stuff that can bring in some more money. The executive jet and private parking spot were not offered this time. It is secure and it is fun. And so I shall take it. Have a choice between a celebratory drink or three of wine, or listing some more old vinyl on ebay. Probably the latter will win out.
