:T The important thing Mr B is that you went out and did something, rather than thinking 'sod it' and going back to sleep :T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Just back from another 3.5k run - saw my stalker again - she's not making much effort to blend into the background - today she had a bright yellow raincoat on with the hood up. Of course I guess she might be going home and writing on the OS boards in between her recipes for roadkill pate that the fat man in the fleece is stalking her. I really must change my route.
  • Hi Mr Bloater, well done for digging deep and finding the motivation to get up and go.

Perhaps you should write a book about your journey as your writing style is very entertaining and would be an interesting and motivating read.

  • First proper wobble of the relaunched Bloater regime. Big day at work today, combined with way too much rose wine last night, over calories and overslept. No running. Came home and have been hoovering Oreos down myself. Not good. Let's hope it's just a blip.

We've all been there! Hopefully a better day tomorrow...

If you look back at the posts where you've struggled you will find a few triggers in common - common to a lot of us in fact. Stress, alcohol, junk food and setting difficult goals. Not sure if all are avoidable but you can change some of them... go a little bit easier on yourself maybe? If you are stressed, don't plan to run on the same day. If there are biscuits, the best place for them is in the bin under the tea bags. Tough, but they don't love you really. Can you save the drinks for the weekend or ask Mrs B to give you a glass when you get in and lock the rest away?

Anyway, it was definitely a blip. :) If it wasn't, you wouldn't keep trying again, and that's what makes all the difference.

P.S. Sorry for the lecture. :o Wish I was doing as well as you. xx

  • Hi Mr B, put the biscuits down and don't buy any more. You are doing so well. Be kind to yourself and go and have a soak in the bath.

    Best wishes Tilly

Oh dear, never mind. Keep chowing down the biscuits tonight - tomorrow is another day. Feed a hangover is the message here and deal with the crap tomorrow (quite literally!)
