Woke up after 8 hours sleep at 6am to a chorus of baying Bloaters. Sat down with a cup of tea and thought 'ho hum, oppurtunity missed again.' Then an old phrase I heard years ago on some radio documentary about Siberia came into my head: "We wanted things better but they happened as usual" and so, in broad daylight, during waking hours I went for a little (1.5k) run. And feel absolutely brilliant for doing it. Also helped contribute to another 2 packets of lard shifting off of me. So for now I'll stick to the unpatented ELCAMYB (Eat Less Cr*p And Move Your Backside) weight loss plan, but good luck to all of those out there who are trying to change themselves for the better.

    Mr Bloater,

I have been reading with interest and smiling along the way at your diary, you seem very upbeat at the moment. Well done on that run, it is surprising how you forget people are around after a little while. And another 2 packs of lard off, that is a great acheivement, you should be very proud of yourself.

Shattering news to report from the Bloater Camp this evening. The Shed of Tranquility is no more. Mrs B decided that the cross-trainer would be better off living in there and so it fell upon me to remove it from upstairs and place it in the cross-trainer sized space that was available in the shed. Some emergency reorganisation has meant there is still a little bit of space to carefully rotate a kitten, but nothing more. Gutted.

The shifting of that cross trainer must have helped with the burning up of calories and general lard shifting - I am trying to put a positive slant on it for you :)
