Yay - shed tetris again! Whoopee! I love shed tetris so long as it's not our shed.
I am playing 'corner of the lounge tetris' which is scary enough. That's where the kids hide things when 'tidying'.
Mr B - love the sig, it's amazing how far you have come. Don't think that by not writing it in big red letters it isn't outstanding!
Kazwookie, I'm in awe. That's such an achievement. Well done and thanks for posting it to encourage others.Miggy

The podium was definitely not reached in Shed Olympics today - little Bloaters decided it would be fun to join in - so whilst the stockpile of junk for the tip run round the side of the house got added to, the boxes of goodies that could be turned into money didn't see much action.
In other moneysaving news, we've cancelled the organic fruit and veg box - which will save us a few quid each month. It never sat easy with me as a unapologetically cyclist-hating petrolhead that every Tuesday morning when the box got delivered our neighbours would think that we were treehugging hippies.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Morning all. Nothing much to report other than it's my third day back and I'm feeling a lot calmer about the finances having this thread back in my life. For any of you worried about how things are going (which is all of us, cos otherwise !!!!!! are you doing looking at this site) I strongly recommend setting up a diary on here for your own sense of sanity.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Hi again,
Have a look at the British Diabetic Soc (Association??) website. Type 2 diabetes hints, tips and diets. I am not there yet but a glucose test showed I'm pre-diabetic and I'm trying the very low calories two days a week thingy that the presenter of Monday's BBC 2 Horizon settled on. Also Newcastle Uni had an 8 week (I think) diet for 11 Type 2 diabetics on 800 cals a day which left 7 of the 11 diabetes free after 3 months (I think it was). Google "Newcastle diet". 600 cals were from 3 optifast sachets a day and the other 200 from veg which I wouldn't fancy. We managed 2 consecutive days this week eating mostly (vast quantities) of veg plus a little fish, egg, and thinly sliced meat plus fruit. I came in at about 450 cals and found it quite easy knowing that the rest of the week was to be "normal".
Anyway just something to explore if it grabs you. My Mum had type 2 and my Dad Type 1 and I really don't want to develop it.
And exercise seriously reduces your risk too.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -
