It sounds so mawkish to say this, but acknowledging the things you have already, that you can be grateful for, is really important, gives a positive spin to your life that can be very uplifting.

    I agree, just look at the things you have that I don't;

    1. A job
    2. Happy kids
    3. A loving partner
    4. LOTS and LOTS of cardboard.

and I should be grateful for the things I have,
Neighbours that don't vomit over my rubbish.

It's looking like the vomiting might be the high point of the week, after Tuesday's cartrouble, yesterday morning me and DS arrived at his nursery all set up for his first day back only to be informed by the manager that it was shut. As it's onsite at my workplace it wasn't like I could call in sick or anything so in the full glare of everyone I had to take DS home, thankfully I was able to get my mum to come up from an hour's drive away, and was back at work having missed only minimal time so better not be docked any pay - but I felt so sorry for DS we had got him all happy and excited about seeing his friends again and then left him all dressed up with nowhere to go. For someone trying to keep a low profile at work the last two mornings have not exactly gone according to plan. Weight has gone down to 22-13 which is nice but little prospect of any runs happening til Saturday at the earliest.

MrB - unless you use a pen name for your Kindle books can I suggest you remove the titles from your signature otherwise your MSE anonymity no longer exists.

    Hello Mr B,
I've just read through your wonderful diary, and you're very inspiring.
I managed to lose 2 stones by Christmas, but I feel I've gained a sizeable chunk of that back over Christmas (I'll be waiting until Saturday - official, personal, weigh in before knowing for sure) starting weight was 24st 3lbs .
As for subscribing to your diary, I shall be doing that once I work out how....

    Hi MrBloater, love your diary!

Just wondering if anybody is following Channel 4's Revolution?

I got this handy tip in an email this morning that might interest those of you who are both money-saving and losing weight!!

    *The Credit Crunch. *
Got your eye on a lovely new pair of shoes? Or a great new pair of jeans? Earn it with abdominal crunches! I want you to do 3 crunches for every pound you want to spend. So, 30 crunches a day makes for ??10 credit! Keep it up and you might even lose 10 weight pounds! Rewards are a great way to motivate yourself to continue with an exercise regime. You could even buy yourself a new work-out outfit so you can get sweaty in style!

    From FatFighters @ Channel4

I think you'd need a lot of motivation if you followed that rule for every spend!! :p

    Trixie x

WARNING: Doing 3 million crunches does *NOT* make you a millionaire!! :D

Mr. B you definately need to post more often, you're the reason why I started my own diary rather than just lurking!!:)

Anyway keep up the good work no matter what life throws at you!

Hope all is well at Bloater Towers!!

Hi Mr B, I subscribed to your thread at the end of August when I had my own LBM, got well on the road to sorting my finances then took a break from the forums. I got back into them in December and spent a lot of the Christmas break reading your diary (glad to be finally up to date) I've also purchased Process of Elimination and look forward to reading it.

Well done on the progress you have made so far, you inspired me to start my own diary so thankyou. I look forward to following your journey.

ps Did Santa bring you any running socks? ;O)
Everything is ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end:)
