Actually no Mr B is quite correct, red wine these days is served too warm (and white too cold) you should fridge both and get the red out about 40 mins before you serve it and the white about 20 mins before.Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Or live in my house where room temperature is close to that found in many victorian homes0 -
Hello MrB!!! you sound re-energised, in spite of up and downness in the energy... I don't need to lose two stone, but I could certainly do with getting two grand under my belt
I'll have a think about that one.
And since I've just got back this afternoon from my Christmas trip, I think I deserve some red wine, whether its in the fridge or not2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
The labrynthine collection of washing racks in the hallway prevented me making a exit this morning to do my run. And somehow we have to fit in decluttering the house, getting DS his long long overdue first haircut, posting some eBay sales and all manner of other stuff before guests arrive at 1pm. Best get off this on get one with it.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Listed 93 records on eBay today - thankfully didn't take as long as it used to cos I'm getting wiser - I had typed in all the titles to an Excel spreadsheet already so it was just a case of pasting them over, and I changed the resolution on my phone so the pictures of the covers weren't at 25billion pixels or whatever it was - meant they uploaded a helluva lot quicker and no discernible difference in quality. Have kept 7 slots in my pocket in case they do a free listing weekend and then I can chuck on a couple of things that won't have a starting price of 99p.
The trouble I have at the moment is that it has been an utterly exhausting holiday - the eBaying took up a chunk of the time (but anything that drags an extra £250 quid a month into the family pot is worth doing), faffing around with websites and Kindle (on an ultimately doomed project), and setting up the spreadsheets for the 2grand 4months challenge have just eaten into all the 'downtime' when I wasn't being clamboured over by DS and forced to watch Suite Life On Deck by DD. It's entirely my own fault, I have no idea how to relax. Except for running - and I can't seem to get out there again at the moment. My only decision for tonight is going to be whether to finish off the whisky, the brandy or the rum.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Despite a 2k run today (and a completely empty stomach) I find myself another 1lb up this morning to the giddy heights of 23stone 2. The glory days of Sept/Oct seem a long time ago, but I have to keep remembering these two very important facts.
1) Without adopting some of the good practise gleaned from MSE we would have been broke before Christmas
2) Without all the effort I put in for exercise in the back end of last year I would likely now be looking at a weight of over 24 stone. Except I wouldn't be looking at it cos the Wii only goes up to 23stone 8. And then my blissful ignorance would have taken me to even fatter places.
The whole point of doing this thread in the first place was for it to concentrate on the upbeatness / funny side of the debt/weight situation and I think I kinda lost sight of that along the way.
The 2k would have been considerably more - I was going to be aiming for 4k today, and despite almost being knocked over by one of the neighbours as I set foot on the pavement (it was a late one for me - 7.45am) I got back into my stride despite last night's whisky and sparkling rose combination (in succession, not mixed together I hasten to add) and was admiring all the cardboard out on the driveways ready for collection, then halfway through my route I spied ahead some more quality stuff (and as I've listed 93 records the likelihood is I will need some more packaging materials soon) - as a self-declared professional in this field I know now that stuff used for wrapping glass is the best - and there up ahead on the side of the road shining like a star was a whole chunk of it adorned with the magic word 'Velux' - I was faced with a dilemma - do I stop the run (at the furthest point from my house) and drag this bounty home, or carry on with my run and get it later. Thankfully the decision was made for me when out of nowhere a hooded feller with treetrunk legs sped past me absolutely reeking of aftershave. I mean, I'm no expert on the scent of men but even I knew that he smelt extremer than a daisy despite being out running. At this point, nature took over, the combination of the reek, the confusion about what to do with the cardboard, the realisation that after a run it takes me about two showers to convince people I don't live in a barn and the whisky and wine from last night came back to haunt me and as I projectile vomited over the cardboard I realised that I might have to change my route tomorrow.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Waah! Are you serious? I mean, I know this is about fun, but ... erm ....
Well, anyway .... putting the projectile vomit behind me (a long way behind me, please and thank you!) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: without what you achieved earlier in the year, you'd be really desperate now. Thats the stark truth.
So you're in a much better place to really grab hold of things and downsize.
However ... I'm really familiar with the feeling of an exhausting holiday - except I *do* know how to relax:D:D I'm very good at relaxing
:D:D so this is your task, should you choose to accept it
:D:D - download a freebie sound file from somewhere, and do some deep breathing while you listen to it.
I'm off out for a last family get together, but have a nice end of holibob, MrB.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
