    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
Taken the step of cancelling two of my CCs which were going to have their interest rates whacked up on the 22nd - so I can't spend on them anymore but just must pay off the balance. As between us Mrs B and myself have 8 we should be able to live with 2 less - would like to get us down to 1 each by the end of the year.
The more useful thing I'm in process of doing is going to be putting a list on the fridge of the costs involved in our vices - eg, £25 for a Pizza Hut delivery, £10 for wine and crisps, etc - this will hopefully aid our snowballing.
Haven't broached the weight or the writing yet but there's still time.

    :T :T :T Nice move! :T :T :T

I'm sure you won't miss them, are you going to have a ceremonial burning? :D

I like the list of vice costs too. Scary how these things add up! Can you train the mini-Bs to decorate home made pizzas? Costs comparatively nothing and they can be 'creative' without making permanent mess. (When my kids were that age, an Italian chef came to demonstrate making pizza bases to their playgroup. I can't remember what the kids made of it but the mums were all fascinated by how easy he made spinning a disc of pizza dough through the air... maybe not one for the kids to try).

You will come to the weight and writing in due course - enjoy your triumphs first. :)

get yourself down to Tesco now, buy 6 bottles of wine on offer for 3 for £12 then you get a further 25% until end of play today. 6 decent bottles of wine comes in at around £2 a bottle - hurry before they close

We were given a breadmaker. The only time I use it is for pizza base but homemade pizzas are so good. They aren't mega cheap to make as mozzerella is expensive. I make a huge rectangular pizza on the biggest oven tray I have so we get loads each. :fatbloatersmiley: We're able to make sections that each person likes eg loads of jalapenos for the adults. Nachos are dirt cheap with some value tortilla chips, salsa and cheese bunged in the microwave.

With kids eating free at Pizza Hut (printable voucher) then Pizza Hut is under £25 for us and we have three children.
Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!

Good for you, I have cancelled one of mine to avoid the higher interest too.

Have you seen that demotivator tool on here? Cheesy as it is, it can be quite enlightening, it shocked me when I used to spend a lot on coffee and shop-bought sandwiches how much it added up to:

....AND GO FOR PRICE-CHECKER JTD AGAINST ASDA. £17 BACK.

Yes, that is deliberate upper-case shouty.

    Go to https://www.tescopricecheck.com/Pric...s/Default.aspx

and put in your reciept details, then someone from tesco checks the price against asda. If asda are cheaper (which they are on 6 bottles of gallo white zinfadel, £17 cheaper) they will give you a voucher for the amount. That's what people mean by JTD, it means just the difference.
