I got out the bodywarmer and zipped it up. The years have not been good to either of us, where before there was a bit of mutual space and leeway, now there was none, it was snug but not in a cosy consensual way. It was like wearing a bulletproof vest, and with the ribbed stitched design if I had had a backpack I would truly have resembled an Obese Ninja Turtle.
I want you to take care out there Mr B. Not so much the jogging past massage parlours in the early hours but more what your attire may be suggesting. Don't want you followed by the Matrix ladies AND the police gun squad!

Oh dear MrB, sounds like you're just squeaking on by .... good news on the ebay front, tho.
I hate to say this, as its another *task* for you, but how are you promoting your books? Is it only through this diary? Lovely as you are, thats not really enough :rotfl: I've no idea how people promote their own books, but I know they do. A local author who's just about to have her 2nd book published has her own website, and sort of begs to be invited along to local events to talk. There's got to be stuff you can do, but its definitely a long term thing, ebay will bring you much more, and much more quickly, at the moment.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Monday's always been my rest day and so whilst I was up and about at 3.45 I decided to follow the established pattern. Dropped another pound from yesterday and currently have almost £500 worth of stuff listed on eBay - including my beloved My Bloody Valentine collection - have listed some of them at silly money just to ease the pain if they do sell. So Moneysaving and Weightloss have both benefitted from my renewed focus towards them.
Am also not stressed about work, thankfully my performance last week definitely takes any hypothetical sniper sights well off of me, whilst as an organisation we are still categorized as being in special measures, neither me nor any of my team were graded in that bracket.
And as for the writing, I am going to put one of the next two ebooks out as a freebie and see if that has any knock-on effect, but will be saving all my marketing skills for the new nicer funnier stuff cos all the writing out at the moment is a bit dark and doomy whereas I'm hoping "The Cardboard Dinosaur and other trouble you get into when you owe 301k" will put a smile on people's faces.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)
