Hi Taxi. Sorry to report that Small Boy failed again. He's getting good scores in perception but not enough in the multiple choice. They need to get 43 out of 50 in theory and 44 out of 75 in Hazard Perception. He got 38 and 61 so good total score but not split right. Test re-booked for 18th Nov. Hopefully 3rd ones a charm.

I hope you're still recovering well. My last chemo is next Monday and then awaiting a surgery date. Wasn't nervous about that as concentrating on surviving chemo but now that's almost over i'm starting to think too much about the surgery. What a terrible woose I am :o

On a :T:T:T note, I'm getting a telephone interview for the contract I applied for next week sometime. May not work with treatment still planned but dead chuffed to get this far regardless.

sorry to hear about son not passing but he will soon no doubt.

well done on getting to end of chemo...that'll be the hardest bit over..don't worry too much about the op as it's easier than chemo...xx am recovering fine thanks..what a difference to this time last year...just started to come down with a cold but will be interesting to see what it turns in to or if my immune system will fight it off quickly.

good luck with the contract x

Thanks Taxi. Have to admit that I'm sitting here welling up with a cold as well. I've been swallowing anti-biotics all week as my blood counts were so dire last cycle and they're worried about infections...looks like it's the sniffles that'll get me.

And that's very reassuring re the surgery. The bit that's worrying, well 2 bits are the stitches and the drains...not the going in but the coming out. I have no pain threshold and will cry like a baby. I know it's pathetic but god forbid I had nothing to obsess about :o

Small Boy coping badly with fail, this is def the worse he's been for months and months. I'm leaving him to shoot zombies and the like and will ply him with food later. Took him to see Tintin which he loved but he was so stressed he couldn't even tell the lady at the ice cream bit what flavour he wanted. He whispered to me and I told her, that breaks my heart. He such a little boy still in so many ways and very mature in others. Difference nowadays is he bounces back from these episodes much quicker and he'll be fine now. Hopefully that maybe explains why I get so worried about leaving him to fend for himself with eejits like the exs around who can't cope with him. Best incentive for getting well :D

Thanks Beanie and hello Veg. Happy to report that Small Boy has had two large bowls of cereal and we've watched some TV and he's back to his usual happy self.

Visiting a car boot sale tomorrow (if it's nice) and taking husky for a romp.

Things are positive here and we're start to look forward to Christmas as it marks the end of chemo and heralds the next phases of treatment. It is working and the new medication for sickness has worked well. I feel quite strong physically and very strong mentally so all good. You're ongoing kind thoughts are deeply appreciated.

hi KJ - sounds like you are well and truly well rid of your ex - what a complete a*@##

Sorry to hear test didn't go well for SB. Do you have those computer based tests for him to pratice on? I'm sure you do but just thought I'd ask....

Sorry that you are not feeling well either... from experience I've had with friends with cancer / going thro chemo - quite normal to get run down and then struggle to shake things off.... Wrap up warm and be kind to yourself..... Don't push yourself too hard (you know like you normally do LOL)

Hope phone interview goes well sounds promising - and great to get that far in this current climate
