    Hi All,

Sorry I've been AWOL. Lots to catch up on.

Job fell through but his boss wanted to see me. Had a chat last Monday and was offered a job on the spot, same flexibility etc. Provisionally starting new job next Tuesday...just waiting on Disclosure Scotland coming through.

The books for both the consultancy and the flat letting are done. I'm taking the flats paperwork into the accountant tomorrow. Also done the paperwork for the two tenants who stopped paying about Christmas, one owes over 5 thousand and the other over 6 thousand. Lovely people !!

Ordered some new work clothes which came today. Nothing too exciting but new stuff includes unkittened trousers which look a lot smarter than the old ones.

Been up to the Festival a couple of times and seeing Tim Vine tomorrow with SB.

    I keep plodding on :rotfl:

    Hello all,

First week back at work done and dusted. It was the end of the month so got to invoice too, first one since January. Only 4 days but more money than I've received in the whole 7 months I was off.

Suffice to say SSP is still not sorted...thank goodness I had savings otherwise we'd have been up the creek.

Kittens were let out for the first time yesterday. Girl got promptly stuck on the 1st storey roof and had to be rescued by SB and a ladder.

Down south for a couple of days next week. Bit nervous as its a 260 mile journey each way with a stop over. Decided to drive as it'll take around 5 hours, train is 4 and need to get to stations at each end so same time or longer and flying is only an hour but all the hassle of check-ins etc.

Theory in my head is I can stop and start when I want if I drive. Still get sick very easily so being in control is good.

Off to do chores now. Hope everyone has a good day.

Have to admit to struggling here. Feeling very tired, headachy and sick. Even being the slightest bit hungry is bringing on the sickness and feeling tired isn't helping.

Counter-intuitively I've made up a bit list for tomorrow which is lots of little tasks to make sure I'm packed, ready and on the road by 5am on Tuesday. I've found a travel lodge just down the road from where the office is (I think) so I'll double check tomorrow and book it. None of my accounts are set up for the company yet so think I'll just wing this one and just say sorry I broke the rules come expenses day :o

Shopping's done and I've sort of menu-planned the week...enough to get me to Friday anyhow.

I will get there...just hard slog at the moment :)

  • Well done on getting through the first week bk to work. I hope that the sickness eases off soon, keep lots of snacks on you if it's set off by hunger pains (you're probably doing this anyway ;) ) I'm also full of admiration I think your attitude towards everything is so positive :) xx
