I am an eejit:mad::mad::mad:
At start of July I wrote to various council departments to inform them that tenant had bu88ered off and left the place uninhabitable. I enclosed pics to prove my point. Homelessness have declared they will send me his £500 deposit to go towards costs, it was over £1000 to fix.
Now 2 months later Council Tax have opened the email, declared it furnished from my own pics and intend to charge me 90% of full rate from 1st July. A bl00dy turkey voting for bl00dy Christmas me. Eejit :mad::mad::mad:
Anyhoo I've written back and pointed out it was uninhabitable and his rubbish has been in storage since July 15th. I still have his computer, printer, monitor etc in my hall. He's made no effort to collect anything.
And breathe :A
Work went well and about to take dog for a walk.
Ebay finishes tonight 1 item with lots of bids and 34 watchers, oter two with zero interest. Ah well, lets see how it goes. I've a couple of unopened printer inks to put on...eejit again - bought the wrong ones :eek::eek::A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Aw well Beanie. We'll get there.
Took husky for a nice stroll, went tiny bit further than usual, turned round and all I could see was the Forth shining like silver, Arthur's Seat at the far end and Fife over the water. Honestly made me take a deep breath and be thankful for the cool air, gorgeous view and the strength to enjoy it. I'm very lucky really :j:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
you definitely couldn't make it up..as Beanie says keep on plodding0

Well two things went on fleabay for a total of £172.99; one at £172.00 and one at 99p :rotfl: You won't be surprised to hear that the 99p has been paid and not the other one.
Guy who's been visiting the non-paying and mucky tenants finally got one in last night. Firstly claimed he wasn't the tenant but his twin brother and that they'd been withholding rent (£6k and counting) because I hadn't done the repairs they had demanded.
Now deep breath one and all because I think you know I repair my properties, who wants to guess the repairs that warrant holding back rent for almost a year....roof caving in, rats in the pantry, dangerous electrics? Not quite, the light switch cover in the hall has a crack in the plastic.
Looks like its the courts x2 for me. I shudder to think what I did in a past life.
To top it off today has been a "bad booby" day. Woke at 6am feeling great, head in bucket by 6:30am. Just had some soup so a bit of respite. The unpredictability is the killer...so blooming frustrating
On bright side tho I've had kittens using the bed as a playground which is amusing and makes me laugh. The war of the cuddly blankie continues even tho 10 kittens could fit. Don't think that's the point, but they're settling down together for a nap so all's good.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Hi DFW - let's give thanks for the positives. Received cash for phone I sold on fleabay so that's packaged and ready to go tomorrow.
Hi Trixie and welcome. I think between us, DFW and I have had a run of the most useless tenants ever. There have to be some decent folk out there but few cross over my thresholds. Still "I'm not the tenant but his twin brother" is a new high!!
Hospital tomorrow to see my friendly surgeon. Hopefully he can advise about the pain and swelling, wondering if its infected again:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
sounds like you may have cellulitis and if you have you'll need antibiotics for months...hope you get to the bottom of what it is...think you need to rest more too x
