  • hello Lovely

I would work till Christmas. And pay it off.

I sort of wish I was like you. I don't have a work ethic! but if you can earn I suppose? I think to me that feels safer, I have no idea if it is!
I wish a life of leisure for you, but I am not sure that is your thing XXX

I'd pay it off in to the offset as doubt you are getting more interest on the savings and then you can drawdown if necessary...
your psychologist is spot on and I used to and still do feel the same but my body just can't do it anymore and it's took a lot of getting used to..you need to find the fine balance..easier said than done though

    Hi all.

Firstly thanks to Beanie who came over to the mortgage free board and save me from being Norman Nomates. In the end 138 views and just me and Beanie. :rotfl::rotfl:

    Sticking here with my chums.

DFW: I'd cut someone else the slack and do it willingly. Just can't do it for me. I am getting better at it...slowly. Maybe it is a self esteem or self worth issue. All discussed that between ex-husband and ex-OH I've been left to fend for everyone by myself and now I see survival mode as normal. I definitely need help keeping things in perspective.:o

    Beanie: you star.:j

Buffy: I'm pretty lazy really. Just not rich enough to not work yet.:o

Taxi: so hard isn't it. My roads been easier than yours but psychologist did laugh when I explained about the void after treatment ends and no one wants to see you for months. My answer go back to work next week then. It seems to be what ESA expects; amputation Monday, fit a hook Tuesday, back to work on Wednesday.

So thank you my friends, your insights and support are amazing.

On the mortgage front I'm going to put £100k in the offset, leave the DD the same so it runs down the remainder and pay off the balance when I build a nice wee cushion.

    Hello...lazy KJ waves from bed.

Didn't sleep at all well last night so worked from home dealing with lovely project peeps (they're a fab and supportive bunch) then crawled into bed at 4 for a nap. :o just woke up and too tired to move.

So MSE dinner of fajitas postponed til tomorrow and dinner ordered in. In a vain attempt to redeem myself it will easily stretch to lunch again on Sunday and I've a days salary to claim which outweighs making dinner, being ill and missing work.

Planning on doing a fridge check tomorrow, making a pot of soup and doing shop at l!dl. Also ordered a load of stuff from approved foods to bolster out the cupboards. Stuff being past an arbitrary date doesn't bother me but need to hide the dates (scratch them off) before SB sees them. 8 squeezy bottles of Hellman's hint of chilli mayo for a quid is seriously good going.

Council have accepted that I cleared the manky flat and have applied the empty rate from July 15th. That knocked over £800 off the bill. So many thanks to them for being so reasonable and quick.

Things are in a happy place overall. I'm going to enjoy the weekend, cook us up some nice grub, relax with my boy and avoid being sat on by two kittens and a husky all howling "Love me mother'.

    I'm a lucky wee soul :j:j:j

    Hey Kissjen,

sometimes it takes a wee while for the mfw's to answer, your case is also different from the usual so a few people will either want to give it a good think or maybe dont feel they know the right thing for you to do... JamesD is very helpful ( as was beanie :) ) and i am sure others will be along shortly

Thanks Elantan. I was putting it down to my deodorant. :rotfl::rotfl:

I think even writing it out made me work through it. Just wondered if others felt along similar lines.

Think I'm going to go back to menu planning for coming week and just shop to that. That's my job for tomorrow morning.

Back in bed with kittens and their adopted soft toy from my room. They keep dragging this beanie baby around, giving it a bath and then cuddling up to it. Two kittens playing mummies and daddies is very cute. :D
