Fingers crossed it improves. Sometimes the list is too long to keep going back for every thing and when they fix one it seems to kick off another.

I have some seriously good news.
Do you remember tenants who hadn't paid for a year and then his brother appeared saying they'd moved out. Anyway have now taken legal advice and he's effectively a squatter.
Now in Scotland, according to the law since 1864 (I think) squatter have zero rights and can be fined and imprisoned. Even better they can be evicted without notice or court order.
Guess who's living in front street coming tomorrow night!! Now some should say I should show some humanity but when he told my chap who went round, with an agreed appointment, that he couldn't be touched and he have him nicked if he tried to enter the house - well what goes around comes around.
Now who wants to bet that by tomorrow night he'll have metamorphosed back into his brother again. I wish I could be there to see this.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -

He is seemingly the most obnoxious little squirt.
Hopefully by the time he remembers he's actually his brother (bad Hollywood plot line this) he'll be out on his drug addled ear. I'm kinda hoping he calls the police...the section from shelter is here...

Hi Beanie, haven't heard anything yet. We can but hope

Made a big pot of veggie soup with barley today in between calls. Wonder what everyone else does when they're on mute :rotfl:
Dinner will be turkey and pork pie (guess who found Christmas leftovers in the freezer). I've got some squash, carrots, cabbage and roast pots to go with that. And it's using up some freezer space.
Must have a root to see what I can find for next few days.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Meal planning done for the week.
In theory I have the shortest shopping list ever, only 7 items and that includes a reel of thread. Wonder if we can stretch it out hmmm.
SB on board with the budget idea. Explained if we can stick to sensible shopping and going out then we may be able to pay off the mortgage by Christmas. Scared and excited all at once on that

I am sure that you lovely boy can see the point of paying off the mortgage by christmas. It makes him safe ie having a home no one can touch if the worst happens...Sorry to be so glum.
Hope you are doing ok now. Oh how funny about th tenant being his brother lol. I hope he is no longer a problem to you by the time you read this.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
