Jury duty, why should I?

There are occasions when it's right to make a point and others, like now, when you'd be well advised to say nothing. These crusty old judges can be quite vicious if woken0 -

Bey you're willing to accept benefits from it though.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

I'd rather trash London and nick a widescreen telly but I didn't. You're welcome.0 -

But you don't, so you're obliged to behave like the rest of us, within the laws of the domain which gives you protection and shelter.0 -

Now I think I would be quite interesting to do. But I don't want to for the following reasons:
1. I've been trying to claim back a tax overpayment for nearly a year. At a cost of a great deal of my time and almost £30 of phone calls. Not having this money has caused me to have to sell most of my possessions for a pittance to make ends meet.
2. I recently got and lost a job, as such I have about 1.3 billion forms from various government departments to compete and return (1.2 billion of which are requiring from me nothing more than information which was sent to me by the government, so why am I exactly being asked to compete them?) So I really don't have the time.
3. I am looking for work, and this is likely to put off a potential employer.
Now in reality I'm probably not going to be excused and I'm not really trying to, but I would like to express the point I think this country is a joke and I have no loyalty for it at all. Am I permitted to make this point on my form?
Also if I were to say on the form I do not believe I am capable of being impartial and making rational judgements how would this be taken?
(mods feel free to move this if there is a better forum for it)
You don't have a job and you're arguing you don't have time to do jury service??
Go. It's your civil duty. Who knows? You might even find it interesting. Far from putting off a potential employer, perhaps having something illuminating to say about our judicial system and your experiences as part of a jury might be a benefit. All experiences can be played to your advantage if you opened your eyes and thought creatively and pro-actively."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Oh please. I've only just read this charming comment. Leave the country. If you want to do something that much, get off your arse, stop whining and make an effort. Within the European union you can go and work anywhere. Are you really trying to tell me you can't find a single job in the whole of Europe??
I bet you haven't even tried. You'd rather sit here and moan. Moan about how this country is a joke. Moan about the forms you have to fill in. Moan about jury service. Go and moan elsewhere. This country could do without moaning babies like you."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Don't know if you are but if you are so proud of being British then I hope you won't bother claiming any benefits.
I also hope that if you are ever abroad and in trouble then you won't wave your British passport and expect the British authorities to help you.
I also hope that if you ever find yourself in trouble with the law and face a court case, then you won't expect to be treated impartially and judged by your peers but are tried by a kangaroo court where the verdict has already been decided before you put a step into the dock2014 Target;

Honestly, I think it's better that RagingGoose doesn't do jury service. Even criminals deserve better, not to mention the innocent people who might find themselves on trial."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
