Morning all
Haven't posted on here for ages but i'm back now and i'm staying lol. Me and Boyf are hoping to buy our own house this year so we really have to tighten our belts.
DD back at school, boyf back at work and me back into my normal household routine (thank god!).
Just put a load of washing on and have made up a batch of fairy cakes which are in the oven now. Off to Asda later to do my first shop since before Xmas -we've been using things out of the freezer and storecupboard (had some really odd meals lol) so will need to do a big shop.
B - Weetabix and banana, orange juice
D - Cheese, ham and tomato toasties
T - Tuna pasta bake, fairy cake
Have a good day all

PP- I have had shingles so you have my sympathy
dlb- hope your 2 with chicken pox get well soon without giving it to you!
Take care xxxDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Goodnight all,
Pretty knackered tonight. From staying up later than usual me thinks. I was going to make some banana muffins tonight but will do that first up in the morning. I have a few dry crackers leftfor our morn/arv teas so things are grim in the biscuits/cake dept. OS is coming over tomorrow to help so that will make the load a bit easier. I might do a few more things on my *to do list* while I can.
CCStar I think being consistent is the key & making sure they know the rules & sticking to the consequences when they don't.
PP I got shingles about 2 years ago. You poor thing. They are so painful. It took me about 3 months to get back to normal and I was told that I got off lightly. No they aren't contagious.
Nighty nite. Have a great day. ByeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning guys :j
Well day one of my "healthy living plan" started today - nudged on by the fact that when I got on the scales last night I was a whole stone heavier than I thought I was
So today I was up at 5.30pm and did a 20 minute jog, followed by a glass of hot lemon water, and 2 slices of dry wholemeal toast with 2 grilled tomatoes. Lunch will be veg soup - with no bread, and dinner tonight will be chicken breast, salad and jacket potatoI've also had 4 glasses of water and 2 black coffees
Better dash, cos I'm at work :shhh:
(((((hugs)))))Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Good morning everyone, and ((((hugs)))) to all the ill ones.
No doubt by the time I post this, 10 others will already have replied before me! Penny-Pincher! you can't infect anyone with shingles, BUT you can give chickenpox to anyone who hasn't had it yet. Oh and thanks for the heads-up re Sainsbury etc:D I'm an irregular visitor to the Greenwich one (although it's my favourite, think the staff down there are really great) but TBH never really expected reductions there being as it's 24 hours! Daft or what? I'll certainly keep my eyes peeled from now on. Just never bother looking in Eltham branch, I swear the manager must think it's his own personal money being taken off:rotfl:
Not got a lot done yet, had a really awful night, then at 6.30 fell into a wonderful sleep and didn't wake until 9.50!  Feel much better now:D
Some washing on in the machine (the rotters changed their clothes! After all my efforts yesterday!:rotfl: ) And I need to pop out for some stationery items, so will do that soon. And nobody could be so stupid as to do a massive cook for the freezer and NOT keep anything out for tonight's dinner could they? Well yep, you're looking at her:o
What a plonker! Off to rectify that right now.:D
Hope your days are productive.
Take care, CMxxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
(((Big hugs))) to who needs them, especially those who are going to hospital or unwell.
I put on a pound in weight but it always shows on my stomach, so restricting the chocolates now. It is my OH birthday on Friday, so they will resurface then. Didn't eat a lot over Christmas as we had colds and felt low.
Today's menu
Pineapple and Blueberry Juice, Oatibix (very disappointing - prefer Weetabix) with milk, tea
Enough coffee to keep me sane:D
Lunch will be cheese and biscuits from Christmas leftovers with some black grapes
Dinner - baked spuds with more cheese.
Still using leftovers from Christmas
We have
Cheese
Biscuits/crackers
Frozen apples from our trees
Frozen meat
Chocolates
Mince pies
A bit of Christmas cake
Stollen bites
Frozen pastry
Boozy cream - will be making trifles with them, plus they are nice just as they are (syllabubs)
Tons of frozen crusts from ends of loafs to make bread and butter pudding.
Fresh fruit and veg to eat up
Frozen veg
Usual dairy stuff in the fridge
Usual storecupboard stuff
I feel a cooking bug coming on today:)An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:
:eek::mad: :beer:

Penny- Pincher:grouphug: That's all you need
Well, I have been a busy bee this morning - School run, Tesco, ironing, hung laundry, put away laundry, hoovered everywhere, cleaned bathroom and downstairs loo thoroughly, emptied bins, wiped mould off window frames
Might do a spot of baking this afternoon before school run again0
