In these first stages i would rest and sleep as much as you can, so that your body can fight it!! pm if you want any other info on it!!! ((((hugs))))

Hi everyone!
Hugs to those who need them. Hope you all had a good weekend.
Weather round this way wasn't that fab so we were mainly homebased. Was very pleased to find a good quality carpet in a local company's sale which will hopefully do for our stairs...will get them to do a quote and in true OS fashion will also get a separate quote from another fitter we know. Sadly didn't get round to defrosting the freezer as OH was beginning some plastering work on the kitchen [yay!!] ...obviously was deeply disappointed but made a start on painting our free door instead. Progress is steady.
Due to frequent showers we went to a local free nature reserve with the small person yesterday rather than risk a long soggy hike down at Arundel. We came home to feast on a most tasty pork and pineapple curry cooked in the SC. Yum yum pigs bum!!
As ever I am thinking of fooo...I found a very interesting book of seasonal recipes by Jane Pettigrew in our local library that I'm taking down. Am very much looking forward to serving up fidget pie and hasty pudding!!
Hope you all have a good moneysaving Monday!

Afternoon everyone
Got up early this morning and went to the uni library in order to get some work done as I don't seem to do anything when I'm at homeGot there, sat down and plugged my laptop in, worked fine for ten mins then the librarian came over to me and said that they were turning off the portable plug-ins for the day in order to do maintainance  I wasn't the only angry one either - there's apparently major deadlines for lots of other courses tomorrow so lots of people are stuck  so in half an hour I am going to unplug my wireless card and get on with some work!!
WM has been on, 1 load on airer and 2nd load in now - will TD whatever can be TD'd from both loads after this one has finished as I don't have the space to air 2 loads at once in this weather.
Tea tonight will be pasta with garlic buttered mushrooms - still on the store cupboard challenge: currently this is day 3 of use-up, although I have had to go to Morrisons to buy fruit, veg and milk. OH and I had a big barney about me wanting to clear the cupboard - he said I was being "tight" and stupid about having loads of open jars of peanut butter and chocolate spread _pale_ that he bought on a whim and has barely touched  he really got to me as I only work part time and generally get about £300 a month (my student loan pretty much covers my rent so that's ok) so have to be much more careful with the pennies than him (I don't use my overdraft facility at all now after maxxing it and putting £500 on CC in my first year  I was working 20 odd hours a week in a nightclub at the time as well so theoretically should have been rolling in money!!)
I wish he could see how saving money is better and how much sooner we'd be able to buy our own place if he played along! He's just been given a payrise from 14k to 16k/year and I know that the extra cash will just be squandered away
On the plus side, my student loan came through today and I'm left with £100 extra after paying the 3 months of rent that I budgeted it to cover!!! :j I'd forgotten it was due and got a shock when I checked my balance this morning :rotfl:
Anyway, off to do some work now!!
(((hugs))) to all those feeling poorly - OH has shingles at the minute and he's a right pain in the bum about it :rotfl: (by the way, its not contagious to anyone who has had chicken pox, but advice is generally to avoid prolonged contact with those who are pregnant or those with immune system deficiencies)
Good luck with the scan Valentine... and :grouphug: to everyone else
ps. hello stormybay, like many others I read your other thread, and have been thinking about you and your family xxx0 -
Well, I tried taking the boys to school, but the gates were locked!! Yep, Kaz does it again and takes them back while school is still closed!! At least this time I KNOW it wasn't my fault as I wrote all dates from letters received on the calender - I guess my little darlings are still forgetting to give me the letters.
I've spent most of the morning flying - and then went to bed for an hour as had one of my 'cotton wool' heads.
I've not read the entire thread so I hope I've not missed anything important, but I did pick up on Catzine - thinking of you hun, and also Catowen (I found Mum & tot groups hard too)
I know there were a few other bits I wanted to mention, but I'm afraid they've been swamped by the cotton wool again....
Love to all,
Kaz xJanuary '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)

Hi
Hope everyone is well as I've not had time to read the whole thread yet.
Oldest daughter started back school this morning. She found it hard getting out of bed this morning as she was still awake at 10.30 pm last night as she couldn't sleep. (She was in bed at 7.45 pm).
Have prepared jennyjelly's cheapest healthy meal to have with sausages tonight and am looking forward to that. I noticed that I have overripe bananas in the fruit basket and rather than put them in the bin like I would normally do I have looked up a recipe for banana bread and am going to have a try at that. I have all the ingredients in the house.
I have made up a meal plan for next week and have written a shopping list for Friday. I am actually enjoying planning all these money saving ideas and getting quite a buzz from it.
Have a great day.0 -
Catowen -just noticed your post about the childminder's group.
Don't take this the wrong way - but I'm glad someone else doesn't like going to new groups etc. I always feel I'm the only one in the world who can't do this (like I was off sick the day they taught this skill at school, or something)
You've inspired me to keep going. In some ways it'd be easier if I could just sit in the corner by myself - but that's not really an option. I'm not a complete wally!"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0
