I think I'm about to spend £1254 on an LG 11kg washer and an LG 9kg condenser dryer. That includes Quidco. Scared.

I hope it comes with diamond encrusted washing powder at that price?:eek:

She probably does, but to me that's a heck of a lot, bearing in mind when I moved I got a fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher for that. But some of those are the apparently dreaded Beko (which I love). But there you go, everyone has different ideas on what's a lot of money for these things. :)

Hold up! Have you ordered it yet? It only takes up to a kingsize 10.5 tog duvet. I tried my son's 15 tog kingsize one and it was too big for the machine. It's a big drum but not that big. I don't think you'd get a domestic machine big enough to take a superking duvet in.

I didn't realise beko was such a bad make!! My Mum has recently purchased a Beko washing machine and she thinks it's brilliant so far. She researches things thoroughly before buying things such as appliances so I'm very surprised it gets such a bad name!

It was one of the new Aqualtis machines I had been considering. Perfect spec for my needs, just wary of the brand. Hotpoint haven't really been good to me in the past. :(

It is funny how some people hate certain makes and others like them this is my 3rd washing machine in 19 years and every one of them has been a hotpoint :)

So bearing in mind i`ve only had this 6 months the 2 previous ones lasted just over 9 years each not bad considering how much washing i have with 3 messy lads doing roughly 2 washes a day.

I don't get the Beko reluctance?

I've had AEG, Bosch, LG and they were fine (although I won't be buying Bosch again). My year old Beko 8kg loader is right up there with them for quality in my opinion. I just ordered one of Beko's condenser dryers - also large load, dry washing sensor, easy empty and more.

Total cost for the 2? About £450.

The current Beko I have reminds me a lot of the LG I had, adored and had wrested from my grasp a few years ago.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

I don't like Beko. I had a cooker and after a couple of years the door fell off! Hated that cooker with a passion. I also work in supported housing and when everyone's flats were refurbished, all the appliances put in, were Beko. All the washers and fridge/freezers were replaced after a couple of years as they were hopeless.

The flats were all done up in 2005. My own cooker was about the same time.
