Savvy_Sue, I thought Dyson stopped making washing machines?
You may very well be right. DH is drooling over their fans whenever we see them, but we haven't been near washing machines lately.

I like their fans too - but £200!

I have the 11kg LG machine (in black :D). Hotpoint one died after about 14 years of service while I was preggers last year. Wanted the biggest machine possible. OH works away during the week, and bubba is cloth bummed. I do 1 dark and 1 light load per weekend, 2 nappy loads, 1 bedding and 1 towel load during the week. Superking duvet gets washed about once a month. I love it. Don't have a tumble dryer, but have a rotaire on my rotary line, so everything gets dried outside most of the time :)

Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

What's a rotaire? I have a dryer but it's in the garage and i've only used it half a dozen times in the 3 years since it's been out there (too much creepy crawlies out there for my liking!) Told my OH to throw it out as I won't miss it.

I think it's the whirligig cover I mentioned earlier. Take a look here.

A really good idea, but my rotary dryer is a different shape to all those. Those are all upside down umbrella shapes. Mine isn't, so I don't know if it would fit. :(

Just had a look at the FAQ's and it wouldn't.
    9. Does it work on straight lines?

No, because of structural and design problems, a straight dryline hasn't been invented yet.

I can imagine! I'm bad enough with 5. I could have everything washed tomorrow. It's the getting dry that holds me up, not the washing, and I wouldn't want stuff getting sour if I couldn't get them dry.

I have one of these, and I love it. My one is the steam version. I've had it a year and would recommend it.

I might want that one. :D (What model number is that please?)

Happy to hear you have bouncy floors. Well, not happy exactly, just somewhat reassured. :D

SS...no whirlygig, just an old style (rusty) post and line affair. :)

I managed to get £24 back using Quidco.

Here are some reviews. My one is there too. :o And there's a video to watch as well. Oh, and if you want the steam version, make sure it has an S at the end of the model number. There's another 11kg one but no S at the end. My one is a F1443KDS - same version without steam is F1443KD.
